Today the food and service was subpar. I ordered a taco salad and the taco shell did not taste good at all. It tasted bitter and old. The waitress took our chips and salsa away while we were still eating them and sipping on drinks. This was our indication we needed to leave, I suppose. This place is usually my go to place but not anymore, sadly.

Tooling around Greenwood looking for somewhere to grab lunch and spotted Sante Fe. Excellent service, good prices and great food. First time trying the chicken soup. I will definitely have it again. The serving size was enough for us both to have lunch the next day. Would definitely recommend!

Our food was decent but the service was extremely rude. Servers yelled at us, interrupted us speaking to them trying to ask a question and talked over us, and I was fussed at by the waitress for not taking my seat quickly enough even though I had only just come to the table and was asking where everyone intended to sit as several of our party were still arriving and had not yet chosen a seat.
It felt like workers were angry with us for choosing to dine there. No one even asked for changes to their order or any substitutions – we were afraid of the tongue-lashing we might get if we did!
I’ve not eaten there in probably a decade. I didn’t ask for anything special at all. It’s completely a mystery why anyone would treat customers this way. I will not be returning.

I had a Lunch #6: One beef burrito & one enchilada. My husband had the Nachos al Carbon. We both enjoyed our meals. The mild salsa had no substance to it. It was like just pouring the juice off of a can of tomatoes. When it comes to the desserts, that is where they greatly disappointed me. I had the “Fried Ice Cream.” It was disgusting and made me sick. I’ve had Fried Ice Cream before at other Mexican restaurants and they wrapped the ice cream up like a chimichanga and fried it quickly. Nothing on this was fried except the salad-like bowl that it was served in. The bowl was a flour tortilla shell fried in the nastiest, old grease. It had not been warmed and the grease had solidified. Basically, it was not fresh. The ice cream tasted freezer burnt and was covered with cornflakes. Cornflakes? How does that even sound good? The cornflakes were covered with whipped cream, topped with 2 cherries, and drizzled with fudge syrup. I forgot to mention the nasty fried bowl was drizzled with honey.
I would have asked for a refund but I had gotten it to go so that I could eat it on the way home.
My husband had his dessert, the Fried Cheesecake. He ate it but wasn’t particularly impressed with it.

My first visit here & I was pleasantly overwhelmed. The food servings were HUGE. My chicken quesadilla was piled high with fresh chicken breast & very flavorful. The lunch special plates were piled high with food as well. Fresh hot tortilla strips to start the meal & great service as well. We will definitely be coming back! This is my sons FAVORITE place to go now! Tacos el carbon are his thing, I’m still with my chicken fajita quesadilla fixation!

Santa Fe was my family’s favorite restaurant for the first 3 or 4 years of living in Greenwood. Something has happened to Santa Fe within the last 2 years. Our last two visits have been very unpleasant and we will not be returning. The food tastes good, the chips and salsa are best in town, but the waitress was rude and bitchy and the staff in general were not rude but unfriendly. Very different from the once favorite restaurant.

I give them 4.5 Stars. The chips have been fresh and still warm. This was not my first visit. I have been here a few times for lunch. This time, I had the lunch portion fajitas with beef and chicken. The meat was sizzling when it arrived and tasted good. The service was fast and friendly.

I loved everything about this place . The decor was spot on, very cultured and pretty bright colors, fun Spanish music that kept me dancing the whole meal . oh and the meal, my goodness, it was so delicious and filling they were not light handed with the toppings and I love that , makes me feel like they actually care about feeding you and leaving you satisfied. the server was nice and prompt, he explained everything in detail that I had questions about. It was a great experience overall , will definitely be returning and the prices aren’t too shabby either !
