Very delicious food! I ordered fish tacos which have a great mango thing lol and they pair it great with the tartar sauce, gives it a nice overall taste! Also I was a big back and ordered a chimichanga too! Swear I’ve never left a place so wonderfully satisfied! Issa vibe! plus the name is a bonus if you’re into that too

Santa Fe Bees is a busy, neighborhood, counter service restaurant near downtown Santa Fe. The place was really, pardon the pun, buzzing. We took a menu out to a table on the enclosed porch, quiet (68 dB) and insulated from the traffic noise. In spite of the rush, our orders were quickly taken and we had our Mexican Coke, Chocolate Shake and a complimentary basket of chips and salsa immediately. We special ordered a Fish Taco Plate to share with four (not three) tacos, mahi mahi, mango salsa, black beans, coleslaw, tomatoes and avocado with a zesty, house recipe tartar sauce. Each taco came with two corn tortillas. It was easy to make 8 tacos out of the 4 on the plate. The Taco Salad (also shared) came in something we had never seen before, deep fried cheese shaped into a bowl. The Taco Salad was a lettuce base with pico de gallo, sour cream, cucumber, tomatoes, avocados, and jack and cheddar cheese strips with housemade dressing, in the heaping cheese bowl. The plates were delivered to the table by friendly staff who stopped to chat even in the noon rush. Good local lunch place

Oh man, wish I found this place sooner. We are headed out of Santa Fe and I was craving Green Chile Stew. It did not disappointment. The steak was perfect, soup was just enough lime, broth was clean. The Hubs had the Santa Fe burrito with steak. He’s from CA and loves his burritos and this one met the standards. The food was so good and reasonably priced we decided to get a tamale plate to go for dinner. Once you find good food, you don’t look elsewhere!

Our first time. It was during the Guadalupe St. Winter Walk. We had the chips and salsa, Santa Fe Frito Pie, and Chicken Tortilla Soup. They were pretty good.

I think I just had the best burrito in my life. I’ve lived in both CA and CO the last 25 years, both of which have pretty good burrito joints, but this place beats them hands-down. I had the Vegano Burrito and the spices were simply amazing. The staff were super friendly and the place has a great hole-in-the wall, authentic neighborhood vibe.

Tldr: This. Is. The. Spot!! Este lugar es para ti!!

Details: the food is unique, flavorful, and the portions are abundant. I grew up in SATX, so southwestern style cuisine has always been close to my heart and in SF I’ve benefited immensely everywhere we went but HERE took me to the next level. I’m normally a tacos girl but I had to try the blue corn flautas and they were everything and more! Side options were rice, beans, or calabacitas (squash) and I got rice and calabacitas – serving of vegetables and rice perfect for the leftover Christmas style sauce and cheese. Everything was cooked exactly right.

But on top of this?? The salsa negra for the chips was something I had never had before, too delicious to leave behind. We asked for a jar to take home and worried it wouldn’t come in something sturdy enough for the long train ride home. But when the owner came out with a Mason style jar with the metal screw on lid, I knew we were getting more out of this visit than most. Amazing service, amazing people, amazing FOOD! Want fantastic New Mexican/El Salvadoran food? Go to Santa Fe Bees. You do not want to miss this and you’ll be treated like community.

In general, this place is walkable, accessible by car, with parking, pickup and eat in, bathrooms, and hi and low tech ordering (a kiosk or a human). Affordable and delicious.

Do everything you can to get over to this restaurant as quick as you can. Staff is amazing and so kind and genuine. The food matches that passion and is some of the best you’ll find in Santa Fe. We actually came by twice during our trip because of how much we loved it . The Renee steak platter and the tamale plate are out of this world. We even had to buy a quart of their salsa to take back with us. Do yourself a favor and make your way over to the place as quick as you can.

Food and customer service was great! Atmosphere was a hole in the wall kinda spot, but the Frito pie with red chile, 1/4 roasted chicken, taquitos fries ,chips n salsa was fire! New Mexico Chile is the best,no where else tops it! Service was friendly, enclosed outside patio type dining, but it is cold up here i Santa Fe this time of year ! Hot food kept us warm thought. Good food honestly!

Santa Fe Bees is one of the best casual restaurants in Santa Fe. They have an extensive menu and everything is delicious. My favorites are the shrimp quesadilla, the posole, and the salsa negra. Can’t go wrong here. The owner and staff are wonderful people too.

Ate dinner in this little restaurant in DT Santa Fe. It was like a great taco truck that was turned into a restaurant. I ordered the nachos with carnitas and birra tacos. Both items were delicious and generous portions. The prices were great. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a hearty meal that isn’t pretentious like many other restaurants in town.
