Loved their Tri-tip Burrito & Quesadillas, and Combo Chicken and Tri-tip meals. Was happy to stop by this place on the way home from Solvang / Santa Ynez. Food was great and their staff was friendly and helpful. Clean restaurant and they had bottomless drinks and a nicely filled salsa bar area. Would highly recommend this place and we also would love to return to this chain of restaurants, they said on the bag they have a closer Ventura location on E. Main Street. Thanks SB Chicken Ranch! ☺️

Good salsa. Tri tip burrito was mostly rice. Tri tip is best tender and med, med rare if you can get it that way, this tri tip had alot of tough gristle and was over cooked and dry. Could have had more flavor than it did.

SBCR is a small local chain servicing up roasted chicken, burritos and tri-tip, among other items. I have eaten in the Santa Barbara and Goleta locations, and the offerings are basically the same at both. I consistently like their chicken. I do not care for their burritos or tri-tip. And their sides are so-so. For my recent meal, the chicken and tortillas were served piping hot which is nice. You order your food at the counter. The indoor seating is spacious, and there is plenty of room outside. I will return for the roast chicken.

Nice portions and great tasting chicken and tri tip. Great place for delicious food. You have to try there Tri-Tip Sandwich it’s the best in town.

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” seems to be a fitting motto for the SB Chicken Ranch. This casual local walk-up Mexican style BBQ joint has been serving from the same simple menu for decades, and yet, like In and Out Burger, people still come in droves to get their favorite dish. The service is quick, the food is plentiful, and the salsa bar is always free.

This is not bbq. Dry, over done, no hood Smokey bbq smell. Dry beans with no flavor. Sub par rice. I wouldn’t bother coming here

Popular and crowded during the work week at lunch time. Good but not great food. Tri tip is ok but occasionally dry. Chicken had good flavor but I don’t like the skin. Friendly staff ok prices.

Walked in and saw a bunch of rice on the ground so I assumed they had like a chicken coop or something, hence the name. Turns out it was just Karen and her two kids at the table. Clean up after yourselves people.

Expensive, small portions and not good. Doesn’t even smell like BBQ . 8( $9 beans sucked dry no soup in it. The rice was undercooked and taste less. Worst BBQ place ever.
