Overall it was an okay experience, there were a few hiccups such as the waitress not explaining us what is the meal we received the for the first dish, them preparing a 7 course meal instead of 5 course as we booked. They did offer us drinks for the mishap which was nice but it’s not a fine dining as you would get in another fine dining restaurant. Maybe the ala carte menu would be better than trying the tasting menu.
As for the meals, first dish had a yuzu sauce that was too overpowering, the soft egg was not silky but rather more separated and had a strong egg flavour and taste which is not usual, the fish dishes were very well made, no spoons were given for the miso soup nor any indication we should drink by holding the whole bowl which we found odd, and lastly the matcha cake with orange pure was not a match as no matcha could be tasted and the cake was too dry.
In our opinion it wouldn’t be worth to try the tasting menu, however from the quality of the fish it could be an indication their sushi could be very nice to try instead.

Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Munich (if not the best!). The quality of the sushi is excellent, and there is a wide selection of different types of fish and sushi. The restaurant is nicely designed and cozy.
However, the service missed the mark for me. Maybe it was also because we were seated in a corner, but it was hard to get the waiter‘s attention. For every single request, we had to ask at least 3 times. There seemed to be a certain proactivity / professionalism missing. For example, 3 different waiters came to our table to take new orders – none of them thought of bringing back our plates that had been empty for over 20 min. Not sure if this is a regular thing or if they were just overwhelmed on a Saturday evening. It was a shame as the food was of very high quality but the service did not meet the same standard and took away some of our positive experience last night.

You will experience the overflowing passion in every dish they serve you. The service team was very warm and helpful. It is a must to visit!!!

The food is decent, but not worth the price. The presentation of the dishes doesn’t match the pictures. There is little ambience in the restaurant. We waited over 30 minutes for a second course. The service seemed more focused on encouraging us to order more drinks than ensuring we enjoyed our meal. I find it puzzling how this place earned a spot in the Michelin guide.

10/10. Wait staff was warm and knowledgeable. Omakase was incredible, perfectly sized, amazing pairings, beautiful presentation. Intimate and inviting atmosphere. Could not recommend this place more.

The service was impeccable and the food was excellent, especially the sashimi. The traditional ambience and bamboo seating provided an authentic experience. Our waiter, Sho, was very attentive.

The outside environment is very nice. For me, the sashimi is not cold enough. The taste is fine. It costed almost 90 euro for this table.

An amazing experience for those who know about sushi and are looking for a high quality offering. Service was pleasant and spoke kindly with us in German and English, explaining the menu when needed.
It’s one of the more expensive suchi offerings, so if you’re new to it there are other, less expensive or intimidating places to try first to test the waters.
A wonderful experience if you’re looking for a treat.

The service was very nice and polite.
I have been three times over last 3 years. Unfortunately I missed the “wow effect” of 3 years ago. The roll with aubergine and the nigiri with halibut was nothing particular. The nigiri with tuna and quail egg was good but the egg very cold. I think also that the menu has been strongly shortened over years.

Overall ok. Friendly and efficient service. Set menu was really a little bit limited for the 100 euros a head. Atmosphere was fine, got fully booked. Tellingly but not surprisingly not a place for Japanese but more for Germans to enjoy Japanese cuisine.
Our daughter had her birthday which I’d mentioned when booking, sadly was not acknowledged at all.
I’d probably not return though it’s not a bad place, just don’t expect to leave with a full belly or have a real Japanese experience.
