I wanted to try egusi and fufu and after doing research this place was very local. My first experience was very unpleasant. While waiting on my order it seemed the ladies behind the counter were talking to 2 gentleman who had dined in and they seemed to be having a disagreement about the bill. After my food was ready the lady rang myself and my friend out ( she was paying card, I paid cash ) her total was 22.25 so I gave the lady 25.25 and she didn’t give me a receipt or change. I asked for a receipt and she said she did my total wrong. After giving me my receipt I see Where she only charged me $21 when my friend and i ordered the exact same thing. she then tells me she rung me out wrong I don’t get change. I told her if I was charged 22.25 I’d get $3 back since I gave her $25.25. She wasn’t very understanding and kept saying she did it wrong but they charge a hidden fee if you use card which is why my total paying cash was different than my friends who paid card. ( I did get my $3 change )

Also the fufu was very doughy and stuck to my fingers making it hard to work with. The egusi soup was very dry. Overall my experience wasn’t great. I will be trying egusi and fufu again just not at this Location. They offer what looked like a buffet but honestly the food behind the glass looked like it had been there for day. I should have went with my gut and left before ordering but lesson learned.

Soup poorly packaged and no vegetables. Paid for soup, but barely anything left. Fufu was still dough – inedible.
I contacted the restaurant and will do nothing to rectify. We will never eat there again.

Upon entering the establishment we were given the most unfriendly welcome. While entering, we were rudely asked “WHAT DO YOU WANT” as if we could answer that having never been there before. We were told we can view a menu at the countertop where we continued to receive more unwelcoming energy. We asked if we could dine in and were told that they were about to close even though they close at a 9p and it was only 8p. After such an unpleasant experience from just walking in, we decided it best that we just leave to avoid any further discomfort.

Let me start by saying the amount of disrespect I experienced here was shameful. Not only were they rude, they legit forgot half of my order, and I honestly didn’t notice until I finally got home rushing from a long day at work. Whom ever the young lady that’s answering the phone needs a bit more training on customer service and I just know deep down inside you forgot to bag half of my order on purpose. You didnt forget to charge me for it but you forgot to give the order, nevertheless. The egusi was extremely cold, the beef that was in it, was all bone, skin and fat having mo edible meat. I’m vastly disappointed in the experience I’ve had vs the time when I went last summer and ordered the exact same thing. (HOPES THIS HELPS THE NEXT PERSON)

The food was amazing. I grew up eating Jamaican food and I tried their goat and it was fall off the bone and flavorful. They care about the food they send out. Don’t sleep on this place.

Food was absolutely perfect. Workers were very friendly and welcoming.I had ordered the fufu and egusi soup and was cooked to perfection and did not have to wait long to get my order. service was quick and easy. 100% recommend going here!

Only 2 stars for this. Had high hopes for it and excited. I walked in 2 young men were finishing ordering, I ordered 2 combos. Simple jerk chicken and jollof rice with fish to go. While I was ordering the guy didn’t see like he wanted me there. 4 people came in, ordered, got their food, and left , the 2 men finished eating and got up. Then I got my food when the place cleared.. an hour later. (I’m not the normal client complexion for this area)… I get home 8 minutes later. The food is room temp, stale, smells old, and is hard, the fish was only a bone skeleton with mabey 2 bites of meet. The Jollof rice was so hard and burnt I had to cut it with a knife (you could tell it was burnt in the bottom of the pan and very old). The cabbage seemed like it was in the bowl for a few days and just scooped out.. the only thing that was edible was the fufu (still cold and seemed not all the way cooked)… the red rice and beans where not all the way cooked. The jerk chicken was okay. More bone than meat. I was really hoping for so much better especially for the money

The worst beef paddy and coco bread I’ve ever tasted! The bread was hard and nit fresh at all. The beef paddy was just as hard and room temperature. The Jollof rice was decent. I won’t be back!!
