We ordered two sets.
The Teishoku San featured chicken teriyaki with vegetables and rice as the main, plus three pieces of nigiri and two pieces of salmon oshi. This was accompanied by miso soup, a sous-vide egg custard, salmon sashimi in ponzu, spring rolls, tamagoyaki with wakame, and 3 small sides, including a broccoli gomae.
The Teishoku Ocean leaned heavily into seafood. The mains were a salmon donburi and chef’s-choice aburi sashimi, supported by sides like miso soup, prawn tempura, assorted misozuke, truffle edamame, and 3 additional small sides.
To set expectations clearly: this isn’t traditional, orthodox Japanese cuisine; it’s more of a Japanese-inspired fusion. If you go in expecting strict authenticity, disappointment is likely. If you go in expecting solid, well-executed fusion, you’ll probably have a good time.
Overall, the food was quite good. One surprise standout was the broccoli gomae. The salmon oshi was delicious and the chicken teriyaki was also quite tasty. Some elements were less memorable, like the egg custard and simpler sides like the veggie salad and tofu in ponzu, which didn’t leave much of an impression. With the Ocean set, the seafood itself was undeniably delicious, though I’m still on the fence about whether it fully justified the price.
Service was quick, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. Unlimited tea is always a win in my books. The ambience is cozy and comfortable, making it an easy spot to settle into for a relaxed meal.
All told, this is a solid option if you’re in the mood for a generous, varied Japanese-fusion spread.
The staff was kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even nicer.
We left so satisfied and happy, and we’re already excited to come back again soon!
Their menu consists of the usual Japanese sushi and bento but theirs come with a twist and a somewhat personalized take on what they offer in the menu.
If you are a party of more than 5, make sure you call for a reservation.
We had a dine-in experience for lunch and their food is reasonably priced with generous servings. Everything we ordered tasted so good and you can really taste the difference in all the food that we ordered; unlike other places that some food menu tastes almost the same.
Very disappointing!
We used to order from Sanjo Sushi Asian Cuisine all the time — it was one of our favorite sushi places. The rolls were big, tasty, and definitely worth the money. But now, things have changed completely.
The portion sizes have become shockingly small — almost twice smaller than before! What used to be a proper 8-piece roll weighing around 250–300 grams now barely reaches 150 grams.
Price of the rolls on the picture $50!!!
You pay the same price, but get tiny rolls that don’t feel satisfying at all. It has become too expensive for what you get, and honestly, the pleasure just doesn’t match the price anymore.
We were loyal regular customers, but after seeing this change, it’s no longer worth it. Very disappointing experience.
