Japanese friend recommended I visit Sanjo Ramen for a real authentic bowl of ramen. He was right! The menu proudly announces the connection to Kyoto-style ramen and that comes through with everything available.
We ordered a couple of different ramen – the tonkatsu shoyu and the miso ramen. Both were delicious! I preferred the tonkatsu which was rich and creamy from start to finish. We also tried the gyoza which was light and crispy and just perfect; the korokke was tasty as well (the picture was after my daughter already ate one).
Service was attentive and the restaurant was clean. Kenji-san the owner poked his head out of the kitchen at one point and I told him we had enjoyed our dinner and will be back. Recommended.

This place exceeded all of our expectations, and we will definitely become regular customers.
The interior is beautiful — stylish, cozy, and very welcoming.
The food is simply incredible — words can’t describe how delicious everything was. Everyone should come and try it at least once!
The service deserves special recognition — the staff was attentive, kind, and truly professional. We honestly did not expect such a high level of service.
We would also love it if you could add kimchi to the menu, if possible. That said, even without it, this restaurant has already become our favorite.

Good tasty food. However, the portions may be slightly undervalued for the price. The beef udon has slightly too little beef. Especially the sushi, it tastes great but the size is somewhat small. Also katsu curry has too much curry and not enough rice.
Service was somewhat fast. The sushi took a bit too long though.
Atmosphere is pretty chill, safe and quiet which is nice.
Its pretty cool that the waiters here are from Stevenson High, which is where i also go to.

We visited here for the first time on a certain day in December 2025.
This store was very clean.
and the staffs were tery active.
We ordered a Fried Rice , a Salmon Avocado , Tan Tan Ramen and Chicken Paitan Tsukemen.

We came here for some ramen and boy I was so surprised that it’s pretty authentic! The broth is amazing, just like when I was Japan! I definitely would recommend Sanjo Ramen and would come back and try other dishes!

I travelled the area and found this newly opened Restaurant.
Feeling and food give you great Japanese vibes, somewhat nostalgic to me.
The Ramen was the best I have ate in USA so far, and I had plenty in different states.
The broth of the ramen and all ingredients by itself have amazing flavor but in combination are 100% UMAMI.
I will be back when I am in the area.

We visited on Christmas Eve, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming perfect for the holiday. The tsukemen, ramen, and Karaage were absolutely delicious, easily one of the best I’ve had. On top of that, the service was outstanding and the staffs were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend, especially for a special evening like Christmas Eve!

Sanjo Ramen is hands down one of the best spots in town! Their spicy tonkotsu noodles are absolutely amazing — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The takoyaki is also a must-try, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
On top of the delicious food, the customer service is outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The place itself is cozy and comfortable, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a warm bowl of ramen. Highly recommend!

Love this new Ramen place. Came here for lunch with our normal posse. We were promptly greeted and sat at a table. Server was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. Food also came out in a timely manner. We were all very pleased with our dishes. Amount and quality was spot on.
My only complaint is that the tap to pay was not working on the credit card machine. I mean, come on, is this 2001? 😉

Ordered takeout for our first time trying Sanjo tonight. I guess it’s an odd thing to do carry out ramen. Sanjo made it fun!! It was like building our own ramen at home!! (Make sure you have a good size bowl!) spicy miso was great! Karaage was delicious. Other dishes good too. So glad to finally have a great local ramen place. Highly recommend.
