I’m shocked at these reviews! I’ve been going to Sangos for the past 18 years, their oxtails have NEVER let me down. Yes- it’s expensive. But if you go to the store and buy oxtails, it’s expensive too!! And the food here is made with so much love. We always get the oxtails and goat. I’m not sure about the portions for others, but this is what I got today. SO GOOD!

NEVER AGAIN. Ordered 2 lunch plates of jerk chicken from then about an hour ago through UberEats. Got home to eat and my daughter pulled the largest piece of plastic from her salad. You have to be BLIND to miss this. I’m filing a complaint with the FDA, that place needs to be investigated.

Oh. Em. Gee. I ordered curry chicken, rice and peas earlier and I’ve been on the toilet all night since. When I got home and put the plate in the microwave, I noticed it did smell a little tangy but I brushed it off thinking (or hoping) the smell was coming from a spice they used. Sitting here typing this review on the toilet, I now know I’ve contracted a mild case of food poisoning from the spoiled curry chicken they sold me. I think it’s time to find another Jamaican restaurant.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! I ordered the jerk pork that I ended up having to throw out! The meat was so dry and tough that I couldn’t even chew it, and then to add insult to injury, I asked for jerk gravy which was nothing more than KETCHUP mixed with a hot pepper sauce. And it gets worst….. after speaking to one of the staff members & expressing my grievances regarding such inedible food, the lady had the AUDACITY to say to me, “Ma’am, I’M JAMAICAN. I know what authentic Jamaican food is supposed to taste like.” I simply replied back, “Ma’am, being Jamaican has absolutely nothing to do with what you are trying to pass off as INEDIBLE FOOD that WE, THE PUBLIC ARE PAYING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR, so please, let’s not throw Nationality into what this is REALLY ABOUT. It’s about being fair to consumers about WHAT we pay for.” I was flabbergasted to get such a response from this establishment. Although claiming to be apologetic, the woman was still defensive and trying to discount MY EXPERIENCE while being argumentative. Either you’re apologetic or you’re not. It can’t be both. I wouldn’t recommend this eating establishment to my worst enemy. I see now why so many customers have negative comments about this restaurant. They serve low quality food at expensive prices. This is shameful, and I’m deeply embarrassed about the fact that I basically just gave them money for food that I literally had to throw out. I blame myself MOSTLY. Had I just taken heed from others who gave negative reviews, I would still have $20 in my wallet…..I guess I was just trying to support my own race and their business.

Always follow tour first mind. Unfortunately, Carribean delight was closed down today. So. I decided to go to sango for stew fish. Let’s just say where is the stew. What kind of stew that is. I’m super disappointed in the taste and the time they took to prepare such a disgusting dish. How long they took they went to keys caught it out ocean then prepared. Now, if you going to take that long. Make sure your food is grade AAA. And too top it off 25 and some change for what. I don’t mind for delicious food. My hard earned money going down the drain. Usually I can eat off my food all day and night. The dogs I don’t have can have that.

So tell me why fish was so microwave rubbery once I got it..The rice and peas mushy and scotch. Not to mention a salad that looked old and it was hot.Times are hard, and to be actually supporting US, during these times is a plus but there is no reciprocation..This happened on 9/18/25 around 7 pm.

Don’t believe the Hype on some of these reviews! I know this place it is a big Hit or Miss. I’ve missed too many times, never again. I ordered a quart of special fried rice. I got a quart of oily, soy sauce drowned rice with mystery meat and dirty shrimp. They claim to do Chinese dishes as well, however they should just stick to So so Jamaican dishes.
For $15 a quart, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I’m shocked. Been ordering here all my life. Recently, I’ve noticed the food has become a hit or miss and today I missed. Oxtails tough as hell, food lacks in flavor and the portion size was meant to feed a child. I should not still be hungry after a $30 plate of tough meat. my gums are sore. Think its time to bid Sangos a farewell for good this time.

Oxtail were extremely tuff, flavourless and too expensive. I only had 3 bones. The gravy was super thick and flavorlorless. Must be a new cook, never again what I spend $30 on a plate that has to be trashed
