This restaurant seems very popular on regular business days, as I noticed barriers used to control lines and a device that displays the expected wait time for seating. We went on Christmas Eve around 2 p.m. and were seated right away. Shortly after we sat down, six tables were quickly filled.

We ordered the Peking duck dinner for two. This meal included wonton noodle soup (six shrimp dumplings, noodles, and broccoli rabes), half a Peking duck (four buns, scallions, crispy duck, and sauce), string beans, and pineapple spicy stir-fried rice. The dishes were served one at a time in that order.

The wonton soup was delicious, with properly cooked dumplings, noodles, and vegetables. I just wished the broth had been hotter.

The half Peking duck was well cooked and crispy, which paired nicely with the buns and sauce. However, I wished the duck had more meat—I had to look for it under the skin, and there wasn’t much there.

The string beans were well seasoned and tasty. My favorite dish was the pineapple stir-fried rice. It wasn’t too oily, was flavorful, and was served hot.

Service was very efficient, and the servers were attentive. We felt lucky to get seated so easily, especially since we arrived after lunchtime.

The atmosphere was reminiscent of an old-style restaurant. While it wasn’t fancy, it didn’t bother me.

Nice Cantonese restaurant offers high quality dishes. The flavor is quite authentic. No reservation is needed but if you plan to go during the busy hours, you may have to wait for a while to get seated. Beef chow fun is highly recommended. It tastes no different from what you can get from Hong Kong.

We went here for Valentine’s Day and overall had a great experience. The restaurant was clean, the food was delicious, and the employees were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we did find a hair in one of our dishes, which was disappointing. Still, the quality of the food and the service were good, and aside from that issue, everything else was enjoyable. We hope this was just a one-time mistake.

This was a very popular restaurant for Drexel students, before! I came to visit many years later but found the dishes were no longer the same.

Staffs are still friendly but the best dish is “ice cream”!

Hot and sour soup was not bad, but all others tasted the same soybean sauce and oyster sauce with thick starch!

Hope other customers have a better experience.

The rice platter is good but compared to Ting Wong, at cheaper price, I can get more meat at same quality. Dan dan noodle is meh. The wonton seems like more a Western version with this orange ish sauce instead of a chilli oil sauce. The duck w congee and fried dough stick are good, but I think chow fun is better, especially the chicken in it. It is super tender and moist. The restaurant is small so there might be a line during peak hours. Food is served very quickly.

Absolute highlight of my trip to Philly. I keep thinking about my experience at Sang Kee.

First off, we got there and there was a small wait (5 groups ahead of us). You join a waitlist and you can see when your party is next.

My boyfriend & I shared a Half Pekiing Duck, the Roast Pork & Peking Duck BBQ Rice Platter, and Roast Pork Shrimp Dumpling Noodle Soup. The size of the dishes are huge, we stuffed our faces with no regret because each thing we ordered was DELICIOUS.

Meats were juicy, flavorful, and plentiful. Fair pricing for all the items on the menu, too!

100% going back the next time we’re in Philly.

Food: this is an absolute must try. There’s so many options to try. ✔️ out the duck with buns. Or lobster and shrimp fried rice with vegetable spring rolls. Everything was hot and prepared with love.
Service: we ordered take out. It took avout 15mins. So we took a walk around Chinatown and checked out more local fans. You can’t go wrong here.

I made the mistake of going there by myself. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m able to eat half a Peking duck all on my own, so I had to order the duck appetizer rolls.

And they were some of the juiciest, tastiest nibbles of duck I’ve ever had. If the full duck meals are just as good, then this place is legendary.

I decided to order the Sweet and Sour chicken – pretty good, large portion, enough to take half of it home. Food came out quick, and service was great. It’s a nice place for a sit-in lunch.

Sang Kee Peking Duck House has amazing roasted duck — the skin is super crispy and not salty at all . The fish soup is also very delicious, served hot, and has no fishy smell whatsoever . The BBQ pork (char siu) is tasty, but slightly on the salty side for my taste . Overall, great food and a place worth visiting! ✨ ️
