We came during rush hour in the holiday season so the food court was very crowded. Chatsiu was okay while the duck was the best roast duck I have ever had in the United States. It came warm, juicy and flavorful that we decided to grab another round after the first one.
Caution: this is Cantonese style roast duck, not Peking duck, they are different so maybe the product is good but not up to your expectations.

While at Reading Terminal Market, I came across an article by Visit Philly listing 15 must-try items—and #12 was the two-meat platter from Sang Kee, with roast pork and duck over soup noodles instead of sticky rice. I decided to give it a shot, and wow—what a fantastic recommendation.

For about $17, it was absolutely worth it. The roast duck was rich and flavorful, the pork was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the broth tied everything together beautifully. It was downright delicious.

If you’re at Reading Terminal and craving something savory and satisfying, this is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back.

We came here 6 years ago and randomly ordered after a week of Philly cheesesteak and desperate for Chinese food and I remember being so shocked it was the best wonton noodle soup I’ve ever had. We came back and deliberately ordered this time and it’s the first thing we ate instead of the last and it’s still delicious. The food won’t look pretty and it’s simple food but so much flavor. We got the wonton noodle soup again and the bbq meat platter. The soup and noodle is perfect, simple clean but deep flavor and noodle is the thin eggy ramen type. The sauce for the bbq is finger licking good. It’s the perfect comfort food.

This location that am rating is located inside Philly’s Reading Terminal Market. The Peking duck is absolutely to die for – even better than the famous Peking duck served at Peking Duck restaurant in Falls Church VA where you see thousands of pictures of famous people plastered to the walls. The duck here is fresh, extra crispy, meaty and not fatty, super deliciously seasoned. It is the star of several of their dishes: Peking duck and shrimp wonton noodle soup, Peking duck with vegetables and rice which we ordered. This place is unpretentious, very affordable, comes out hot and delicious!

Amazing delicious Peking duck and dumplings! My kids wanted Peking duck and the Sang Kee Peking Duck at the Reading Market did not disappoint! We ordered two Peking duck platters, one with low mein and one with with fried rice. The dumplings were very large and utterly delicious! Definitely recommend if you are OK with counter service or carry out.

This place has a relatively simple menu which consist of ducks, noodles, and wonton. And I tried it all & ….they were on point. Simple and traditional Cantonese style food.

Great value, friendly customer service. Inside reading terminal market. Limited seating and can get loud and crowded.

Do recommend @WineDinenVacay

Delicious Cantonese style roast pork and duck. Fast, friendly and efficient service. The menu is pretty straight forward (meat, rice or noodle or soup, veg combos) and you can enjoy your lunch at one of the nearby tables if you’re able to snag one. Very generous portions and flavorful with the meat drippings that they ladle over the rice.

Friday was my first visit to the Reading Terminal Market. I had a hankering to try the duck so I made the small journey down there. And I was not disappointed. The fried rice was very flavorful and probably the best I’ve had from a takeout spot. I didn’t get to eat my duck until I got home and by then the duck wasn’t crispy. But it may have been when I first received it. The market is very lively so I say take a trip down here when you get the chance. There are endless amounts of cuisines to choose from here.

Update: My previous review was from over 2 years ago. The duck meat is mostly bone now and the prices have gone up. You also get less product in per container. I say if you want duck check the reviews on nearby restaurants. Or if you have a turkey fryer try making your own duck seasoned with Asian 5 spice and soy sauce.

The food was very good and the servers were very friendly. I saw the food be prepared and the duck was cut in front of me and placed on my plate, so it was very fresh. It had a very different and yummy taste to it. I would definitely go again!
