When most people think they want Chinese food, they usually take into account 3 things. Food taste consistency, service and then atmosphere. I have eaten here 3 times now. I ordered Singapore Street noodles with shrimp every time. Some people have it with pork, chicken, beef or even all four of them. It may not be everyone’s thing but for me the curry taste means everything. The service here is wonderful and the staff treats you like family. The atmosphere is similar to most typical Chinese restaurants. However, the only reason I go is the fabulous food.

CLEAN DELICIOUS FOOD. What do I mean by that? Have you ever eaten Asian food and it tasted like 50 things, most of which you didn’t order? Not to mention all the oils they use and afterwards you just feel like yuck? You know clean pure food when you taste it. THIS is IT. Wholesome crispy veggies, pure meats, and even the soup tastes fresh, just for you. I called today and it sounded like a kid answered. No matter, -its a family business. I ordered for delivery today. I put the kid to the test. I said I was craving mushrooms and the kid said “order the mushroom/meat” meaning, I had a choice of meats. I chose chicken. OMG– FANTASTIC! Pad Thai is always good, the best I’ve had here in GJ. Lo mein, & chow mein I’ve had here too. Delish. But be like me and try new things on each visit. Oh and– save room for CHOCOLATE CAKE. You won’t be disappointed if you go here! P.S. dine in if you can and order the hot tea for your table. It is beautiful chinese black tea (I’m a tea-aholic) perfect alone or with a dash of sugar. Great for sparking conversations. (The caffine doesn’t hurt.) They also feature live music on occasion. Call them for details on that. I’m a new fan of this neighborhood treasure. Beautiful. Fa’ get about it! ‍♀️ Look at this cake!

Food was really really good. Had them make me an off menu dish . Stir fry beef with green onions, jalapeno, bamboo shoots and white Onion. Also tried their house dumpings which were new .
The beef was spectacular and great portion size . Dumpling were also good .
Meal came with rice and an appetizer sampler tray which was unique and I liked the variety. The place looks closed from the outside they should definitely get some vibrant open signs so they bring in more business. Staff was excellent and welcoming

This restaurant is a hidden gem if you know and love Szechuan food. The chili boiled beef is amazing home style Chinese and enough for two full meals. Yes it includes Szechuan peppercorn. The tea is also fabulous. It comes from the owners’ mother’s home tea farm in China. Dont believe the depressing reviews. Whether or not you love real Chinese food, this is the place to go.

Best eggrolls I’ve ever had! Very good hot and sour soup. Extensive menu, you can choose your meat with every dish. Everything very fresh. I didn’t mind the run down atmosphere because the food was so good.

Venturing into Sang Garden Chinese Restaurant, I felt a wave of nostalgia, a reminder of the bustling, vibrant streets of New York’s Chinatown. The place has an unassuming charm, a hidden gem that whispers rather than shouts, much like the discreet culinary havens Bourdain himself relished uncovering.

The first bite was a revelation. The dishes here sing with authenticity and a clarity of flavor that’s all too rare. Unlike many establishments that drench their offerings in unnecessary grease, Sang Garden takes a path less traveled. Each dish is a testament to the balance of taste and health, a harmonious blend that doesn’t sacrifice flavor for the sake of wellness.

The standout experience wasn’t just about what was on the plate; it was about the journey each dish took me on—straight back to the heart of New York’s Chinese food scene, yet with a distinctive twist that’s uniquely Sang Garden’s. The food here isn’t just cooked; it’s curated, each ingredient thoughtfully chosen to create a symphony of flavors that resonates with anyone yearning for genuine Chinese cuisine.

In true Bourdain fashion, it’s not just the food that makes Sang Garden a must-visit spot; it’s the story it tells through each dish, the cultural dialogue it engages in with every bite. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an exploration, a culinary adventure that reminds you of the power of good food to connect us to places, memories, and emotions.

So, if your soul yearns for an experience that transcends the mundane, if you seek a culinary journey that reminds you of the gritty, authentic charm of New York’s Chinese eateries, Sang Garden is your destination. It’s a place where food is crafted with passion, where flavors are as sincere and unadulterated as the city that never sleeps. Highly recommended, indeed.

Ordered to take out totaling over $50 including our tip. Took a chance and gave at least the minimal tip since this was our first visit off of a family referral. The order taker was very kind as was all the crew. After ordering they said it would take about 10 min. but it was quicker than that. My order taker even looked through our box of food and verified with the receipt. I was actually impressed so I didn’t verify, which I always do. When we got to our hotel I pulled everything out and NO fried rice for either of us. It was a main part of the Double entree dinner. (Thus the 3 stars). The food was great all around, and dispite the rice issue I’ll come again. I’ll be verifying my order next time, as we all should on any take out our drive through order. We had the Lemon Chicken (just a little dry) and Moo Goo Gai Pan with the Sweet and Sour Soup (oh so good), in one order, and the Sweet and Sour Pork with Beef and Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Soup, and a side order of the California Sushi roll for myself. The sauces (sweet and sour and lemon sauce) were packaged separately and very tasty…nice. like I said the food was overall great and I felt the portions were good as well but forgetting a part of an order is really frustrating and is the one thing every restaurant can avoid.

Great lunch! Good selection of dishes available. Perfectly spicy Mongolian for me and hubby’s orange chicken was delicious. Perfect service and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back to try the Pho

Pretty much what you’d expect, and I think the 4.1 that it has at the time of writing is fair.

Decent food, well prepared, very big portions.

Very friendly service, and fast too.

Let down a little by the cheap cutlery and plastic plates, and the decor is a rather “Chinese takeaway”

I had the green curry, was was pretty good though quite a lot of liquid. My friend had a prawn dish that he enjoyed.

Generally recommended, would go back

We stopped here for dinner. We arrived about 45 min before the closing time. The service was quick and food was good too. The portion is enough. They have chinese & thai food. They also have beautifully decorated the restaurant.
