Delicious food (including unlimited hushpuppies!). We stopped in randomly in the middle of a long drive and it was a great unexpected meal. We also did the Rooster Challenge and got tshirts which was very fun. If you’re ever in the area, I recommend it. The place does feel like a large abandoned office, though, so don’t be surprised to sit under harsh florescent lighting.

Best decision ever! It’s like an old fashioned “fish camp”.
Large servings. Best fried shrimp and oysters. Slaw was sweet. Salad was fresh. Plenty of tables. Lots of staff. Huge dining room that quickly fills up on a weekend.

For a place to stop at on the side of the road on a whim, it’s a find. The small platter is really small, like the size of plate a side of fries usually comes on. The dining room looks like a church meeting hall mixed with an office from 1998. HOWEVER, unlimited hush puppies. Don’t be a weenie, do the rooster challenge.

Passing through going to kinston for a basketball game and decided to stop. We knew it would be busy because of the Friday before Valentine’s Day. The sitting area was packed but there was only a 30-40 minute wait. 35 minutes later we were seated. Flounder, Jumbo Shrimp and Talipipa were fresh, hot, great flavor. Service was phenomenal. Server said she drives from FarmVille to work because it is a great place to work. We would give it a 10 if we could. Stop by anyday.

Stopped here on our way home from the beach on 8/17/24. It was packed, and it looked like it was going to be a long wait, but it wasn’t. I think we waited around 10 minutes. The food was really good and you got a lot for your money. Our waitress was awesome. She was attentive and friendly. Our drinks were kept filled. We will definitely be back!

This place never disappoints! The best seafood restaurant around! Salmon, trout, & catfish plates. Endless supply of hush puppies. The waitstaff is always nice. If you’re a tea drinker this place has the recipe!

Okay, so what happened? I worked 12 hours. I ordered my food drove all the way to the Lagrange because I live in Goldsboro. Picked up my food got home. I order three pieces of fish on my plate but only receive two.And when I called, they act liked they didn’t even care.

You will definitely need a to-go box unless you’re a big back and can take it all down
Ordered the ½shrimp ½cat fish, all breaded which I normally dont eat but thought I’d try it. Came with 2 sides (a tossed salad, iceberg lettuce, nothing fancy and a baked potato).
The hushpuppies that they bring to your table ( & keep bringing them) were nice and hot and really good.
The popcorn shrimp was good as well as the catfish.
Like I said I took most of it home for lunch and dinner the next day!!!
The staff was also very nice. They sat us near the kitchen door (which was loud for me and I could see everything the wait staff was doing )
And no paper towels in the ladies room!!
Would definitely return though !!!
