Definitely a family run business that is warm and comfortable only like a long term beloved place can feel. We came early on a week day and the place was already pretty full. This place is popular! I had a rum punch drink that was great as I expected. The food was definitely more in the “comfort food” category than fine dining. If you want quality food, that tastes good, that you are well familiar with – this is the spot for you. I had the crab cake and fried shrimp. Would have liked it grilled, but both were very tasty. Also came with a twice cooked potato. I guess I’m going thru a health kick! Usually I don’t care but somehow I was wanting some veggies and nothing else inspires me. Regardless – that was my bad as the starch was very good. Definitely try to go here. Just be patient if there’s more people than seats.

I’ve been curious about this place forever. Went for dinner last night. LOVED it. They make a mean martini. I had a Stoli vodka martini with a twist. Huge glass, filled to the brim. My dining partner had a glass of very nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Shrimp cocktail appetizer had five large pieces, with a delicious cocktail sauce with lots of horseradish zing. Mmmm.

We stopped here on a rainy night and the place was packed with a 30 min. wait. We got a table by the bar and knew we were going to have to wait to be served because the bartender was also taking care of tables and she was nonstop working to take care of everything. The food was great and reasonable. I had the Seafood combo – a crab cake and four large fried shrimp with vegetables on the side and a very fresh, good portion house salad and it was more than enough. Everything tasted great. My husband got the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly with a lot of flavor. Next time we’re in the area we’re definitely coming back. Big shout out to Felicia who did an amazing job!

The service was horrible! We got in about 5:00, we were there for 2 hours. We had to finally ask for a waitress we had to ask for our checks. They brought us extra appetizers,we told them we didn’t order and then they tried to charge us for them. The length of time between courses that we had to wait was ridiculous, there was other tables that came and went after us on at least two other tables.

This is a house that looks like it hasn’t been renovated since it opened. The food didn’t impress me, the vegetables were bland, the fish dish was ok.. but apparently a favorite of the mostly senior crowd there. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price paid for our meals. This place needs to be updated. Diner like chairs, low ceilings. Friendly staff

We try to go somewhere new to us on Fridays for dinner. We ended up here almost by accident. Clean and neat. Food was second to none. Ordered the Kabobs and all I can say is that it was just phenomenal. Cooked to perfection with good portions. Staff was very kind and courteous.

As a business traveler, I sometimes find myself in tiny remote towns, where I have to suffer with truly awful food. It was an amazing discovery, the food was great, along with service and atmosphere.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night. It was a busy evening. The food was so amazing. I ordered a steak and it was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing and we never wanted for anything. I would recommend Sandpiper to everyone.

Popular restaurant, but the food is just ok….not fantastic. Had the Halibut and it wasn’t horrible, but certainly wasn’t the best. The server was spread thin so the service was slow, For drink refills, I found myself vying for the server’s attention…the atmosphere is “rustic” and crowded, so it can be noisy. I wouldn’t say don’t dine here….but I probably won’t be going back.

The place is very small and uncomfortable my chair was hitting the back of the person behind me. The food was very lackluster with no flavor and it’s very overpriced. I got a crabcake, 4 little shrimps, a small container of coleslaw and a side vegetable for $30. You can make the same quality of food at home if not better for a way cheaper price – won’t be back anytime soon.
