This place was popping on a Wednesday evening! The street tacos were delicious. Good portions for the price. Friendly staff and community atmosphere. The salsa that comes with the complimentary chips could use a little more flavor/spice.

Nice location and decor although the music was a bit loud for my taste during a 5:30 p.m. dinner. Had I been 20 years younger when drinks were more important than the food, I would have enjoyed the vibe a bit more.
The complementary chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants are usually a pretty good indicator of what the food will be like. Unfortunately, this salsa was pretty flavorless with no spice at all. It is definitely not fire roasted. I had the 3 item combination with a ground beef crispy taco, ground beef enchilada in green sauce, and a chile relleno. The relleno was the best of the 3. The taco was mostly shell with very little filling. The enchilada sauce was good, but the tortilla on the enchilada was very tough and hard to cut. Prices were reasonable for downtown Benicia, but it’s definitely not the best Mexican food in the area.

Can’t tell you anything about the food here’s why, and it seems we’re not the first to complain about this. Came in at 8pm after planning to come here for a week to celebrate a special occasion. Seems their 9pm closing time listed on their website is just a suggestion as we were rudely told by the young blonde girl when asked if they were supposed to be open until 9pm and she quipped, “tonight we aren’t” as we watched 2 couples that had just gotten their food eating in the restaurant.
You get one chance in this industry and you just lost 2 new benecia residents that won’t ever be coming back. Too many great Mexican places I’m this area ti be treating customers like that.

Horrible customer service so we simply left! They are open until 9pm and at 8:37pm my husband and I were greeted with frowns! The waitress knew one of the customers and was friendly to her but rolled her eyes at us!
We will not come back! We went to Elviarita’s Cantina up the street and had bomb tocos, drinks, and nachos!

I have been a regular customer for years. They over charged my credit card the last time I went there by more than eight dollars. I figured simple mistake. But after I showed them my bill and the charges . They took a picture of my bank statement. They took my phone number and said I would get a call. I am still waiting. There has been no response from owner, and I will not go back until I get one. Very poor customer service.

Five out of five stars. The food is amazing, I had my girlfriends leftover burrito back in January and I had been wanting to come back ever since, it’s now May, and I just had my first experience with the restaurant itself, first off, I ordered my food to go and it was ready by the time I got there, but when I got there I noticed they had free sour patch kids in a bowl like it was Halloween, lol that was the best thing I had ever seen at a restaurant! And then there was a guy named Eric that worked there, he was so courteous and accommodating, his energy and customer service was amazing and above par, I feel like he made the overall experience the best, thanks Eric!
