Beer is a bit expensive, especially considering there is a taproom in the same parking lot which sells good local beer at fair prices.
I’m giving a 1 star on the food because, as an experienced grill and meat connoisseur, I was extremely disappointed by their BBQ. I ordered just a side of the brisket to take home and not only was it not fresh, it was dryer than jerky in the desert. No sauce added or on the side. The worst part is that is was clearly spoiled… I could smell it through the bag. You could actually see the glossy meat fibers of decomposition and smell that metallic rot scent from old meat.
I requested my money back and did not touch it. They refunded me which was nice, but who tries to serve such a thing and expect someone to eat it?
It makes me wonder how the rest of the food quality is maintained. Too bad too as this place is conveniently located for us in the area, but they are missing the mark.
The food really spoke for itself, but what made the experience even better was meeting the owners. They’re wonderful people who genuinely care about their customers and the quality of every dish they serve. That kind of passion shows in every bite. Pure magic.
Highly recommend!
Danny Sandoval. Yes, I lived in Mexico and most of Central America. I worked with farmers to export Latin American food crops such as yucca, malanga, edoes, ginger, habanero peppers, coconuts and limes. I lived in Spain where we owned two restaurants and I also grow avocados in Florida. I have been to over 100 countries and I am fluent in German, Spanish, French and English. Don’t you think I would know good Mexican food if I tasted it? Your chile rellenos tasted mediocre and my wife thought your taco salad was terrible. Respect my opinion and don’t insult me.
I think my favorite part of our second visit was the amazing conversation we had with the adorable couple that owns the place
