Sandbridge Island Restaurant has been a favorite spot for locals and those just here to visit since 2006. We invite you to come and join us for lunch, pizza, dinner, or just a few drinks. You will find that we are one of the most relaxing spots in Virginia Beach with a great view of the ocean and a fun family atmosphere. We are winners in 5 categories for Best of the Beach Competition. We won Gold for Best Kept Secret and Best Deck & Outdoor Dining – and Bronze for Best Pizza, Best Ribs and Best Local’s Hangout.

We wanted to try a new place that was close to the beach. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention but the entrance is a little misleading, you are either entering the market or the restaurant. Nice gentleman greeted us, sat us in front of the bathroom and kitchen. A nice waitress came and greeted us promptly. Took our drink order and once we received those she took our food order. Buffalo fried shrimp came our first. Not bad as I’m not a big shrimp order. You get about 15 medium large size. Then the pizza came our 5 mins later. I was expecting hand tossed or pan pizza and we received thin crust. It was very cheesy but tasted plain. As we were eating we waved away a few flies since the patio door was being used for the deck and the dumpster around the corner from that. Overall, the service is top notch, bathroom clean, food came out hot and quickly.

Popped in for lunch with my daughter. We ordered the crab dip appetizer & white pizza. It was good, but honestly nothing spectacular. We enjoyed eating outside & our server, Denise, was great- very friendly & personable.

THIS WAS THE BEST SEAFOOD!!! The atmosphere had chill vibes during our visit, at least up until we spotted that beautiful rainbow while we dined. Then we all geeked out on the outer deck, gawking at the breathtaking sight over the waters! (I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one I found my people!)
The service was speedy quick to the point you put in the order, server leaves, I take a sip of my soda, and he’s back with the appetizers. Like… I didn’t even blink yet. How?! Haha
(Jack was our server and he was right on the ball throughout the whole service! Always had a smile and rapidly made sure we had everything we needed! Awesome Server!)
The food cannot we described with words. It was so flavorful that it melted in your mouth. Barely a word was said during the experience because the food was so heavenly and out of this world. Kenny (my husband) even stated that we HAVE to be back before our week here is up. Mind you, it’s only arrival day, and he rarely makes a restaurant demand like this.
So overall, YOU NEED TO COME EAT HERE BEFORE MY FAMILY EATS EVERYTHING! haha

This restaurant was very unique and fit perfectly for the Sandbridge Beach area. The service was amazing and the staff was amiable. There is a lot to choose from on the menu. The family really enjoyed their experience at the beach and this restaurant. Definitely will revisit this place again during the summer!

Sandbridge island restaurant was a 10/10 experience, I honestly can’t even explain how good a service we had from start to finish, we were greeted with warm smiles and laughing all the way to the table where I met our lovely waitress McKenzie. McKenzie was the main event of the night every time she came to wait my table, in all my days of going to beachy restaurants this one have toppled over the rest in competition (due to the hospitality and service of McKenzie). I highly recommend this customer in and out of town. No matter from where, they really make the restaurant feel more like a home.

After four years of staying in Sandbridge we finally decided to try this place out. We had been in the Market many times. The restaurant part never seemed more to us then just the deck and outside pick up area. Wow were we wrong! There is a large seating area inside. Enter to the left of the Market entrance. There is also a small bar area inside. The food was excellent and staffing was great and very friendly. Honestly felt bad that we hadn’t tried it before. There also was a booming to go business out at the pickup side of the building ocean side. We will definitely be back to try out more on the menu!

After being at Sandbridge beach, for a few hours, we cross the street to the sandwich island restaurant, which did not disappoint. We were greeted by a young man that took us to a table and asked us if it was OK for us, since we wanted to be in a place, that was cool enough. They also have outdoor seating and a large dining room, area to fit their guests. Our waiter, Luke, was personable and attentive. There’s a long list of libations as well as nonalcoholic beverages. We had a beer on tap and a frozen piña colada. We did not have to wait very long. The menu was full of steamed or fried choices as well as sandwiches. We opted for fried clam strips and fried shrimps. Both plates are served with fries, but our service suggested we could also try the hush puppies for an extra dollar. That was a great deal. I should arrive pretty quick, and it was hot and delicious. The basket to share with a coleslaw, which is sprinkled with cayenne pepper. We asked for tartar sauce, and it was tasty and delicious. We also pleasantly surprised by the fact that they gave us an entire squeeze bottle of it. They definitely don’t skimp on their tartar sauce for the patriots. Two thumbs, up to that! We’ve been to places where they actually give us a little bit of tartar sauce, and if we asked for a second state, want to charge us more. The restaurant is Homie and the prices are just right. But the best part of it is that the food is well prepared, and the service is quick and affable. This establishment is closed on Tuesdays, and we learned that they have Mondays and Wednesdays different adult activities. I can be very fun, like music, bingo, and karaoke. We will definitely come back. If you’re in the area or visiting Sandbridge beach, make it a point to visit in Sandbridge Island restaurant, and bring your family because everybody is welcome.

Great little seaside seafood spot in Sandbridge. Perfect rustic, nautical atmosphere. Great spot for a beer and sandwich for lunch or a seafood dinner. Must-stop for anyone vacationing in Sandbridge.

It’s a great restaurant. We didn’t have too many issues and the ones we did got handled by our server. I also like the bar here. They have some interesting drinks here too. Hard to go wrong. We also got some pizza to go here one night and that was pretty good too. Last but not least definitely try the hushpuppies they are amazing.
