My wife spent a couple of nights at Nantasket Beach resort during the slow season. The weather was cold and rainy, and we decided to have lunch here because it was literally a block from our room. We were so glad we did, the place has a wonderful little charm to it and a very friendly vibe. Then we tried the food. It was absolutely what we were in the mood for on a cold and rainy day. What did I have? I have four words for you: French. Onion. Grilled. Cheese. What a fantastic idea, a quality grilled cheese sandwich with served with onions and a cup of French onion broth for dipping. It was one of those culinary experiences where everything gets all reverby and nothing else matters. My wife had the slider sampler, which she also loved. All of our food looked fantastic and we loved talking to our server, who was on her game the whole time. We left feeling full and happy. When dinnertime rolled around, we both agreed that we should go there again. We said hello to our server again and mentioned how glad we were to be back. On a cold and rainy night like this, both of us ordered the chicken pot pie soup. It was perfect and so unbelievably filling. After we were done, I was very full, and wondered if it was a terrible idea that we also ordered the crab cakes. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t. These were quite simply the best crab cakes I have ever had in my life. Period. No hyperbole. Plenty of crab meat, a perfect amount of breading and spices, and a buttery crust that was a little chewy in the most perfect way imaginable. We met the owner (whose name I unfortunately forgot) and told her how much we loved her food. She was very gracious and personable, saying that all of the food prepared there were her own family recipes. I raved about the crab cakes, and she told me that was a special dish to her, when she first put it on the menu she only made those herself because of the very specific way they were prepared. Just amazing. The only bad part of our experience here was that now all other crab cakes are ruined for me because they won’t measure up. We loved this place and will be back again if we are ever on the south shore!

Wonderful little bar restaurant we stumbled upon. Delicious Italian seafood stew with fresh muscled, shrimps and lobster! Also loved the cheese curds. Great atmosphere, very family friendly – they have games and toys for kids – and friendly staff!

We used to thoroughly enjoy going there for reasonably priced dinners. Great servers and food is very good- usually. I got fish and chips the last time I was there. The coleslaw was awful and the fish have too much batter and not enough fish- even though it appeared to be a large piece of fish. It was very crispy. I never turn food away and I could not eat the coleslaw. I think my wine used to be about $8 and it either went up to $11 or $12 which is about a 40 to 50% increase. I was told the owner got a new supplier. I think she needs to keep looking. There’s no reason to charge the same rates as the fine dining restaurant does right across the street. Actually The Boathouse Bistro in the hotel has a $65 special midweek including an appetizer a bottle of wine and two dinners with excellent food and service

What a Fabulous dinner we recently had at the SandBar in Hull! Everything we ordered was delicious, and the server was right on the money as well!

Family arrived from out of town to celebrate the 4th of July and our first night meal – the SandBar set a ‘high bar’ as a standard!

Chicken piccata, chicken milanese, salmon, and a juicy burger more than hit the spot!! This was our third time here, and by far the best food we’ve experienced.
Keep Up the Great Work!!

Went out to eat with my one year old daughter and mother, mussels didn’t taste right , the food was mediocre, no seasoning on mashed or asparagus. My baby started screaming so I did my best to calm her down and the manager came over as we were quickly trying to eat and asked if there was anyway I could stop her or take “it” outside. The server was so sweet. I told him on the way out he should take the mussels off that we didn’t eat so he can add that to his tip. For a so called kid friendly place I sure did NOT feel welcomed at all, we’ll stick to the parrot or any place else. I also just want to make note that I work in the industry, I get it. But I’ve never and would never make someone feel as though they weren’t welcome.

UNLESS YOU ARE A MAN AND A PATRIOT FAN- DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT- The male manager and his friends did not like me rooting for the opposing team, tried to intimidate me the whole game, constantly commenting, being rude and obnoxious. The manager did nothing to make my first time visit welcoming- and then told me I was being belligerent when I defended myself and that I was in the wrong place for watching the game since I was not a PATRIOTS FAN. The bartender gets 10 stars for putting up with him. 10 STARS FOR OUR SERVICE, SHE WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Was my first time visiting Boston with my son and his girlfriend, we have no need to go back!

Had lunch there yesterday with my husband. We sat at the bar.our bartender was great and so were her drinks.. Carrie?? I had the chopped Greek salad with grilled chicken..it was so fresh and delicious! My husband had the fish sandwiches with fries so good! I finished with a cappuccino martini, perfect! I also meet one of the owners, and chefs, Ann? I’m sorry I’m horrible with names. She was so kind and clearly cared about every aspect of her business. We highly recommend the Sand Bar and will most definitely be back soon!
