~$35 plates recommended with wine which is served in glass not crystal. I wasn’t aware so after being served I noticed and asked our waitress whom was also the bartender if they had any crystal. She responded saying they didn’t along with saying she doesn’t notice the difference in wine being served in crystal vs glass and “to each their own”– I find that concerning, working at a restaurant serving $30+ entrees while being the bartender yet not knowing the difference in porosity and how it affects the taste of wine.
Lobster roll was flavorless so I took it to go so I can season it at home. Brussel sprouts with bacon and blue cheese were delicious. Pot roast was good but the vegetables were somewhat raw in the center.
Overall would not recommend for the prices. The strip it’s in has better options.

I gave a review which was honest and if I would’ve known this was going to be my experience I wouldve spent my money elsewhere. This wasn’t a complaint this is a review; my complaint was addressed when I talked to the waitress. Thank you.

We went on NYE, so I suspect they had a hard time determining staffing bc the service was a bit slow, BUT that being said, everyone was super friendly/nice and the food was so good it didn’t really matter! Plus, it felt nice to have a slower paced meal so we could talk and enjoy one another. The menu and drink selections made it feel much higher end than it’s stripmall type location implied, one that you could easily get to know the owners and become a “regular”.
We ordered the oysters and the shrimp appetizer, lobster roll and lobster bisque and the salmon entree and everything was delicious. Very nice, carefully curated wine selection and you cannot beat the price point for the seafood dishes they offer.
Would highly recommend for a date night out or even a business dinner. We will be going back.

Wonderful place for a date night. Small cozy restaurant with not a lot of background noise so you can actually talk to the ones you are with! It is tastefully decorated and has a neat bar area. Loved the maps on the walls!
We had 2 couples in our group and tried many items…I love it when others let me have a taste (just one bite )
Our server Cassie was the best! Very knowledgeable about the wines. Made sure we had a taste before getting a glass. Great suggestions for the meal. I got the fried cod. 3 big pieces and the tarter sauce was wonderful…had capers in it. The lobster bisque was the best item I think. So creamy and flavorful. Dessert was blueberry pie, blueberry mouse and chocolate tort. All were excellent. The tort was my favorite…dark chocolate with a berry compote…worked perfectly together.
Thanks for a wonderful night out! Would definitely recommend to anyone! We dessed up a bit, but there were others very casually dressed in nice jeans.

Had the great pleasure of stumbling into Sand Point this weekend when I drove to the wrong address. I walked in an hour before close(nervous). I was greeted enthusiastically and was met warmly by Shawn and then the owner. I ordered the littleneck clams to start, because I had never had clams before. They were made fresh in a deliciously flavorful sauce. The owner started this business as a food truck years ago and the lobster roll was their main dish, so I opted to get their classic lobster roll and truffle fries! Amazing. The part that really tied it together was Shawn’s amazing drinks. I could easily come back for some cocktails with friends to watch a game on their TV. 10/10 can’t wait to come back!

Sand point is yet another hidden gem in Omaha. I went on a Friday at noon, and the atmosphere perfectly embodied the east coast. Comfortable chairs, light colors, and decorative furniture. We were sat down kindly, and we ordered the Parmesan truffle fries for an appetizer, which were perfectly fried and seasoned to perfection. For an entree I ordered the lobster roll with lobster bisque, which were both incredible. The lobster was real, juicy, and flavorful. The bisque was made with the perfect blend of spices and was delicious. For dessert, we had the blueberry pie and carrot cake, which are a must when visiting. I would definitely recommend sand point to anyone looking for a high end seafood experience in Omaha.

I had fresh oysters, clam chowder, and the lobster roll with fries. The oysters had some shell shards floating in their cups, but were otherwise good. The mignonette and cocktail sauce they came with were also very tasty. The clam chowder was a bit thin, but was very flavorful. The lobster roll was the best you’ll find locally, but the very best thing of the entire meal was the fries. They were utterly perfect. Crispy, starchy outer shell and the inside was hot and fluffy. Possibly the best fries I’ve had anywhere ever.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the food was exceptionally delicious. I opted for the lobster salad, and the portion of lobster was just right. My child ordered the lobster roll, which not only looked tempting but also had the perfect amount of lobster. The lemon dessert was indulgent, and we highly recommend this place if you haven’t tried it yet. We’ll be returning soon. Our server was wonderfully friendly and courteous, contributing to the overall positive ambiance of this modern and clean restaurant. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed.

This was our first visit to Sand Point. Nice, clean and modern interior, maybe not really congruent with a New England themed restaurant.
We tried the Steamed Clams – they tasted great and a nice size for an appetizer. The fried Belly Clams had a nice light breading and also tasted very nice. The Lobster Bisque with Sherry was amazing. A the Sherry gave the Bisque a very nice flavor. The Lobster Risotto could have been a little creamier and could have had a little more lobster. If this would have been my only dish, I would have been disappointed.
Our server was either new, or not very well trained. She was nice and friendly, but our main order did not make it to the kitchen, resulting in a long wait but the server comped a second drink for both my husband and I, so that made up for the wait.
We will definitely be back, there are a few items on the menu that we want to try.

We had a family get together with a large group, I reached out via their website and talked with the owner Bonnie, we secured their event room and worked out the ideal table configuration. Bonnie and her staff made the whole experience wonderful, the food was amazing, some of the best lobster rolls I’ve had and the Lobster bisque is a must try, my son whose birthday it was raved about the swordfish and the steam clams. We definitely recommend Sand Point, and will be back, the only bummer was that we weren’t able to try their weekly desert Special that night because they were sold out.
