I’m convinced this is some of the best food I’ve ever had—and it’s tucked away in the tiniest town. I ended up coming here two nights in a row because I just couldn’t get enough. The first night, I had a cheeseburger; the second, I ordered a steak cooked medium rare. Not only did they nail the temp, but it was honestly the prettiest medium rare I’ve ever seen. The flavor took me back to when I was younger —juicy, fresh, and full of that old-school quality you rarely find anymore.
The staff was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, which made the experience even better. The vibe was lively and packed the first night, then relaxed and cozy the next. This place is such a gem for the community.

The food here is pretty good. Great small town Sandhills bar. Everything from burgers to prime rib is excellent. Won’t be disappointed stopping here for a cold beer and or food.

Not a super quiet, romantic place for a candlelight dinner, but clean, comfortable and usually filled with a warm, friendly and welcoming local crowd. There is also a nice sized banquet room available for larger groups.

Good food and drink! Building is older and some say it’s in need of maintenance, but to me, it just adds to the personality. Personally, I wish fries were standard with hamburgers instead of costing $2.25 more, but it is what it is. Food tastes good, staff are friendly and prompt. We make it a point to visit at least once a month for burgers, and if we have a beer locally, it’s the only place we go!

I’ve been across the country and eaten in some “high class” places, but none of them compare to the total package that is the Sandhills Lounge. Great food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that tops it all off. If they gave Michelin stars to small town Nebraska bars this place would definitely have three.

Great local place. Pretty much the place to go out for dinner for 50 miles any direction. You will not find any fancy food here. Just good old fashioned comfort food. Prime rib Saturday is always the busiest day. Definitely a local hangout.
