It’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or simply enjoying drinks at the Rémy Bar. Every experience feels special. For the last five years, Sand Bar has always been our first stop the evening we arrive—a tradition we love. We usually gather around a large table filled with beautiful family and friends, making it the perfect start to our time on the island.
A true St. Barths classic and an absolute must every visit.
For my main I ordered the kale and broccoli salad as well as the hamachi ceviche and both of them were pretty delicious. My friends were underwhelmed by the cheeseburger, club sandwich and classic Caesar salad but others enjoyed the lobster salad and the chicken. Their espresso martini also had a super cute presentation .
The view from the dining room was spectacular but the service was a bit inattentive overall. Would still always recommend this spot to friends and come back when we are in town.
Our waitress Valentina was amazing!
The bad: Unfortunately, the service didn’t live up to expectations. The place seemed understaffed, and while our waiter was friendly, he was constantly rushing between tables and didn’t check in often enough to make the experience feel smooth. We ordered turbot and Dover sole, but he dropped off the food so quickly and left without giving us any sauces included with the meals. At one point, I had to ask for someone to clean the puddle of condensation from my drink off the table, and it took over 30 minutes before anyone asked if I wanted another drink. These were minor details, but they added up and detracted from our experience. I hope it was just an off night because, overall, the restaurant is fantastic.
Our reservations were for a party of 10, we made reservations weeks in advance.
Arrived 15 minutes prior to reservations.
The restaurant was pretty empty.
the server brought out 2 battles of wayter for the entire table and disappeared. It took 45 minutes for my drink to arrive.
We had 3 bottles of wine before appetizers arrive. Well over 2 hours after we sat.
Over an hour later our entrees began to arrive.
For only half the table!!!
The restaurant had 6 tables at most.
I ordered the lam. It arrived cold.
The other half of our group waited 15 minutes for their food.
My aide arrived 20 minutes after my dinner.
The manager blamed the kitchen and gave us 10% off the bill which was $2700 after the “discount.”
It was horrible.
Server never came around. Dishes were not picked up.
She was MIA.
Would not recommend or return.
I had a really good bloody Caesar and champagne.
If you’re not rich, this place would be expensive for you but it’s definitely worth a try.
