The food was so far one of the best ramen spots we had in DMV area. This ramen is from Fukuoka so the broth is leaning towards creamy and the noodles is thin. We love thin noodles! The broth is not as rich as am used to but still good. The gyu don was also good, we would come back for a bowl and trying the hakata ramen.

The service is the same in Japan, you have a tablet or machine who will take your order and then someone will deliver it. And also No TIP! for embracing the food, atmosphere, and the culture!

The price is right for what you are getting. Note that their noodles are all freshly made no frozen ones. Then people are so nice.

It is in the strip mall so you have shared parking.

I finally got to try this unique “no-tip” ramen restaurant, and it was pretty good. The tablet at the table was a very easy and unique way to order, similar to how it works in Japan. You could really taste how fresh the noodles were, which elevated the dish. However, the broth was on the thinner side, and I wish it had been thicker to better bind the flavor to the noodles. The karaage was probably my favorite, especially with the spicy sauce.

I loved the idea of the “pick two” option; however, the mini bowl is extremely small—only a bite or two. I also wish you could choose any ramen for the “pick two” but the shoyu tonkotsu wasn’t possible.

Another downside of the experience was that we waited about an hour to receive our ramen after receiving our appetizers due to a mistake where the order never made it to the kitchen. That was especially upsetting since they only offered a brief apology. Overall, the food was just okay, but I’m glad I finally got to try it!

Craving some Japanese ramen, and this place seemed like a good spot nearby!

The Food: Went with the Sanchome Ramen for my meal. They had a pick two option, so my meal came with a side of Gyudon. The broth was very flavorful and rich. The ramen was cooked very nicely and portions were just right. The only gripe I have from my bowl was that the pork chashu was a little more tough than I’d like. I was hoping for the melt in your mouth texture, but that wasn’t it al all. Other than that, everything else about the bowl was good.

The Service: Service is FCFS I believe. There are screens at each table and you pretty much order off of that. They are fairly fast with getting meals out too, so i had no complaints at all here. They also don’t accept tip, so what you get is what you pay for.

The Atmosphere: Plenty of seating available. The restaurant is nice and clean as well.

Overall, a 4/5. Definitely recommend giving this spot a try. I’ll be back again for sure.

Decided to stop in and try a new ramen place without having much info and I am glad we did!

The food was excellent. Nothing extravagant or exciting, just very good flavor and quality. The noodles are made in house and they are wonderful. The broth was basic and delicious. The pork was tender and incredibly flavorful. We both got the pick two meals and the rice dishes were also very good. The pick two is a substantial amount of food. I really loved how fresh and clean everything tasted. Better ingredients, better pizza… and better ramen ‍♂️

The service was friendly and the staff was attentive, that being said it wasn’t busy while we were there so ymmv.

The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, and honestly the kind of vibe I like for ramen.

I see people mentioning the price, but I feel like you are getting what you pay for. High quality/fresh ingredients are worth the price to me.

Would definitely recommend and we will certainly return

*** Second visit was actually even better than the first . I’m a fan

The bottom line is that your experience here will vary. I have many friends who tell me their experience of the ramen here wasn’t good. The first time I came, they had a sign-up saying they ran out of ramen and were closed for the weekend. I did enjoy the ramen when I finally made it back here. The texture of the ramen was good. The broth, however, was way too rich for me to be able to finish. I ordered extra chilli and dumped it all in it. Only then was it bearable. The store decoration was okay. The lanterns speak Japanese for sure. The ordering was by a tablet, so there’s not a lot of chance to interact with the staff.

After a wait of 20 minutes for a table, a fact that is understandable as it was a Friday night at 7pm. I was welcomed by framed pictures of Japanese popular culture adorn the walls, this unassuming place really blew past my expectations. I ordered a “you pick two” meal which included a full size ramen and a mini donburry bowl. While I got the Sanchome Ramen the consensus was evident, the freshly made noodles made a whole world of difference. The broth was rich and savory and the chashu pork was cooked perfectly tender. The beef brisket of the gyu don bowl was perfectly seasoned and tender so I would also suggest you grab a full sized donburry bowl if you are in the mood for beef and not pork.

My one note is that if you are in the mood for protein then you should order extra chashu. I will certainly be coming back to this ramen spot and try more of their offerings. The city pop music was the cherry on top to complement and complete the ambiance.

What a wonderful little Ramen place. The gyoza was fresh and flavorful. The chicken karaage had a deep garlic flavor. The Ramen has a silky texture and a wonderful flavor. The rice bowl with the pork belly was the perfect combination . I appreciated the insistence of no tip due to Japanese hospitality was an unexpected surprise.

This place really took me by surprise! The restaurant is extremely nice and spacious inside. They have a cool bar you can sit at which is really reminiscent of ones like it in Japan! We got the pick two x2, one with their signature ramen and one butter, plus gyoza and karaage. What really blew me away was the gyu don, WOWWOWOW was it good. Can’t wait to go back for it!!! Agree with other reviewers that the quality is worth the price. Would highly recommend trying and supporting this local business!

Sanchome Ramen in Centreville, VA is a decent and convenient ramen spot, but it may not fully satisfy those looking for a more traditional or intense ramen experience.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, making it easy to visit. Ordering is done through a tablet system at each table, with payment handled at the front. The waitresses are friendly and polite, and the overall process is smooth and efficient.

Food-wise, the broth is light and mild, neither thick nor deeply intense. If you’re accustomed to richer, more umami-forward ramen, this may feel a bit flat. The house-made noodles are extremely thin, closer to thick vermicelli, and tend toward a soft, slightly gluey texture rather than the chewy, springy bite many expect from ramen noodles.

The extra spicy option was underwhelming—rather than spice being cooked into the broth, it was provided as a small cup of paprika on the side, which didn’t add much heat or depth.

Overall, Sanchome Ramen is good but not memorable. It’s friendly, clean, and convenient, but the lighter broth and noodle texture keep it from standing out. Worth trying if you’re nearby, though ramen enthusiasts may prefer stronger-flavored options elsewhere.

I tried the signature Sanchome Ramen combo with a side of rice and pork and it was amazing! The ramen was everything you want on a cold night… hot, delicious, savory, and richly fatty without ever feeling overwhelming. The side of rice with pork was surprisingly just as good. The pork was sweet, savory, and beautifully cooked, a perfect complement to the broth.

The ambience was a pleasant surprise too. It was quiet, calm, and comfortable, making it easy to enjoy your meal without the usual noise of a busy ramen shop.

Service was solid. The staff does not hover but they are attentive when you need them, and ordering from the iPad on the table is smooth and convenient. One unique thing: they do not accept tips, which makes the whole experience feel refreshingly straightforward.

With food this good and an atmosphere this relaxed, I can confidently say:

This is our new ramen spot.
