From the street, it’s a bit of a hole-in-the-wall and it’s only seating is a few stools outside. Do *not * let that fool you into thinking it’s substandard pizza, it is not. Far from it.
We discovered it during a ‘pizza wars’ competition run by an outside company (which was kind of a flop, but that’s completely unrelated to the business). We are SO glad this place was included, we enjoyed our slice and knew immediately we wanted to go back. Last night we stopped in on our way to Ace, we ordered a whole pizza to take home and…. *WOW*.
The ingredients are fresh with great dough and the sauce is FANtastic! Fantastic, I tell you.
My husband is a traditionalist and refuses to order much more than pepperoni, so that’s what we got. And it was sooooooooooo good.
The owners are friendly and helpful – and married. As a business owner myself (and my family owned businesses my whole life), I’m always thrilled to find a small business that I really want to do business with. This is definitely one of them.
We’ve tried a number of different pizza places on the convention center side of downtown SD and this is !!! I do believe we found our favorite pizza place.
