Busy, waterfront seafood spot with outside seats, famous for its shrimp tray & on-site fish counter.

They are currently remodeling, so it’s all outside seating. Parking is 10$ and there is an attendant when you drive in. As always, delicious! Super friendly staff, quick service, and seating is open, under canopy and high top tables. Ordered the Shrimp Plate and Baby Octopus in mixed sauces. Side of Garlic Bread. Picked up and enjoyed at the hotel. Definitely a must have when you are in the area. For $46 with a Jarritos Soda it’s nicely priced.

We kept walking by this place while exploring the area so we finally came for dinner around 6 pm on a Friday. There was staff at the entrance explaining how to place your order. You can scan a QR code at the table but that menu didn’t show what one person wanted to order so we took a picture of the table number, had one person stay behind, and went to the counter to order. You must have a table number if ordering from the counter and if you don’t, you’re holding up the line to go back and get one.
Cinderella was the staff taking orders and despite the long line of hungry people, she treated each and every guest like family. She was truly sweet and friendly.
After placing our food order we got drinks and sat down at our chosen table. The food came about 30 minutes later. We had ordered tartar sauce and cocktail sauce but it didn’t come with our order, so we just did without it. I gave 5 stars for everything but my mom’s shrimp tacos had an excessive amount of seasoning on them. One bite and we all coughed from how salty they were. I’m sure the seasoning is normally great but it was WAY too concentrated on her tacos. We diluted them by donating our coleslaw to her but we were drinking large quantities of water to counteract the salt.
Music was playing in the background and was a mix of genres. The crowd was very diverse in age and ethnicity. People were ordering fresh fish to take home and cook, platters for large groups, and individual dishes like we ordered. This was a very good spot for dinner with great views of the harbor.

Still as good as I remember it. It was definitely a lot of food. My wife had never had oysters so she wanted to try them and they were very tasty. You can never go wrong with the shrimp tray with the garlic bread! So good!! I’m glad this place is still around and we will definitely be back soon!

Man i wasn’t impressed this time with the food. It took a while to get in. We waited almost 45 min when there were many seats available. For a Sunday afternoon I was shocked it was a long wait.. wow when did the platter cost so much we ordered the Shrimp and potatoes’ platter with the fish…lol grateful scenery is good would come again but definitely hope I can be impressed next time. It used to be very alot better and wow less expensive.

Perched on the San Pedro waterfront, the Fish Market is a breezy seafood gem with harbor views and zero fuss. We loved the fish tacos—flaky fillets in warm tortillas with crisp cabbage and zesty sauce—and the fried shrimp, plump and golden with a light crunch. Getting in is a cinch: park nearby, stroll the docks, scan a QR code at your table, and order from your phone. Food arrives fast, portions are generous, and with two drinks, our bill came to about $60—totally worth it for the laid-back vibe and coastal flavors. We’ll be back!

The fish market is the only place to eat at the board walk. The lines are long to get in and then another long line to order your food but wait another long line to order your drinks. The food comes in about 30 minutes, nothing fancy but basic and expensive for what you get. It’s all outdoor seating on benches. The area is being redeveloped so wait until the project is done for better options. Parking is also $10 to park to park on dirt.

Stumbled upon this place while driving past the area, and thankfully decided to stop by and try it. It is an absolute gem. The food, the vibes, the people, just amazing. There was a gigantic line that took 30 minutes to be let in on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere is unlike any restaurant I have ever been to. There is tons, and I mean an insane amount, of outdoor seating, each with a table number. You order and pay through your phone and the staff bring out the food to your table. The food comes out in droves, on huge trays that are just stacked with delicious seafood. I cannot even imagine how many thousands of pounds of food they produce every day. Everything is so fresh and delicious, and with huge portions too. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons they have open mic karaoke which is super fun. Waited another 40 minutes for the food but it was so worth it. 100% recommend trying this place out!

The paid parking is $20 on Saturdays. We just used metered parking a block away for $0.68.
The harbor area of San Pedro is quite nice and safe. The San Pedro Fish Market is next to the LA Maritime Museum and not too far from USS Iowa Museum.
So there’s no actual fish market, it’s a great place to enjoy fresh seafood (they offer hotdogs and burgers as well) with friends and family with live music. Most of the bench tables have good shades. Once we pick our table, there’s a QR code to place order.
1. The fried calamari is good.
2. Our veggie mix and the shrimp a la plancha dishes were combined into one box. Interesting, maybe it’s more practical or perhaps it was a mistake?
3. The crispy fried whole red snapper is fresh but it’s a bit bland, we tried to compensate by adding salt and pepper.
4. Elote is quite good.
5. They messed up our order of Michelob Ultra with rimmed chamoy and gave us Michelada at first, which they corrected immediately. No big deal.
Truly enjoy the live music and the ambience. Will come back with a bigger party and order the Harbor Tray.

Everything was great except we should have been warned how much food is served to prevent over ordering. Inclusively staff should have asked level of spiciness as one of the platters couldn’t be eaten do to the heavy spicy seasoning. However the fried red Snapper reminded me of Puerto Rico! That was absolutely delicious. Wish the coleslaw had flavor vs shaved cabbage in a cup with some water.

The San Pedro Fish Market in San Pedro is such a fun spot for seafood lovers! The atmosphere feels lively and relaxed, perfect for hanging out with friends or family while enjoying some seriously tasty food.
The shrimp boil is definitely a highlight: perfectly seasoned, juicy, and loaded with flavor. It comes out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes are generous, so it’s great for sharing. You can really tell they know their seafood.
One of the things I really love is how convenient their ordering system is. You can sit down, scan a QR code, and order everything right from your phone. It’s super easy and saves you from standing in line, which is a nice touch for a busy spot like this.
And I can’t forget to mention their micheladas, they’re absolutely delicious! Refreshing, tangy, and perfectly balanced with the right kick. It pairs beautifully with the shrimp boil or really any of their seafood dishes.
Overall, this place nails that coastal seafood vibe with great food, cold drinks, and smooth service. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the harbor, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a relaxed meal with ocean views.
