I was in the mood for some delicious Mexican food for dinner tonight. My son said “Mom, I know a great place that you’re going to love. It’s just over in New Port Richey. Let’s go!” So we headed out for a little dinner adventure. I loved it. The atmosphere was peaceful with classical Hispanic music. I am from Honduras so I really enjoyed the music! The delicious food was served in a timely manner. The food was authentic and delicious with generous servings. Our server was attentive and friendly,anticipating our needs. I highly recommend San Miguel Mexican Restaurant to anyone who wants delicious authentic Mexican cuisine in a delightful atmosphere!

The food and atmosphere are great. We did takeout. And I knew things might go wrong. While placing my order by phone I was placed on hold a long hold several times for extended periods. I was concerned but not overly worried as they were able to pick up or left off. I was told about 20 minute. When we arrive we paid and was told it would be out shortly. That was not the case. It took almost 40 minutes, from walking in to get the order. Then when we got home, a meal was missing. We have been here several times and while the food is good. Just be prepared for a long wait.

Beautiful place inside. Super nice staff ALWAYS. Food usually good, but sometimes inconsistent and they get stingy on things. Our $16 fajita salad was TINY, hardly any meat or anything in the very, very small taco shell bowl. Used to be big. Do not get it. Not worth $16 if they continue serving the small version. Used to be great. Not any more. We still prefer Vallartas for portion size and consistency. When restaurant gets busy service starts to slack and food consistency goes down we noticed. Keep an eye out for what you are suppised to get.

This is the greatest place I’ve ever been to my kid celebrated every single birthday party and never changed the location she had became friends with almost every worker here the food os just amazing we love the fried ice cream all the food is made quick and delicious and great quality. The atmosphere is giving of so much cultural vibes it’s not to bright and not to dark it’s decor is so beautiful also they have a singer on Fridays . Also if it’s your birthday they will literally become your personal band and sing you happy birthday with so many instruments from a guitar to a bell and they but a birthday hat on your head to show you that your special to them. In general this place is amazing and I recommend coming here you will never regret it. One of the most welcoming workers is Bill he works hard and he is so nice to my little girl.

We stumbled across San Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant and stopped in for lunch. We were sat immediately and had prompt service. The food arrived quickly and it was muy rico! We noticed there were several regular customers there by the way they were greeted, which is a good sign.
The restaurant was clean and well decorated with upscale art, a step up from the average Mexican restaurant. I took a walk around to admire the decor before leaving. I also saw a small stage with musical instruments, so I’m guessing they must offer live entertainment on weekends?
I recommend San Miguel. Yummy. I’ll be back!.

Beautifully decorated, you feel like you are in a small restaurant in Mexico. The drink station is a small mock cottage so you have the feeling of being in a small village. I loved it, great ambiance. So the food, it was wonderful I had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans, and my husband had the shrimp, beef and chicken Fajitas, it was very authentic and delicious. Plenty of chips and salsa too. Our waiter was great, even though they were busy he always made it a point to stop by and make sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend!!! It’s our new favorite place.

My niece and I stopped by here on a recommendation from my brother-in-law who actually claims to not like Mexican food. However, he was raving about how great this place was, And we discovered his raving was with reason! The place was great; the food was excellent, fresh, savory, and plentiful. Great Mexican decor, clean restaurant, very good service. We were there at 3:00pm and had a very early dinner.

I have found the best Mexican Restaurant in Canada, shout out to Mexicana in Bradford, Ontario.
Here in the U.S. and Florida, thus far I would have to say San Miguel Mexican Restaurant in New Port Richey.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and reasonable prices.
We started with chips with homemade sauce and salsa, delicious.
Then I had Grande Quesadillas with beans and rice.
Magnificent and filling.
My wife had a garden salad that had guacamole and was a nice size, enough for two really.
The she had fish tacos – tilapia.
Quite good and generous portions.
A couple of unsweetened ice tea, that were real tea with a nice mellow flavour.
Really there was nothing that wasn’t well above average.

We started with their free chips and salsa, which was warm fresh chips and the salsa was great.
While they were out of Horchata my fiance opted for Mexican coke and I had their San Miguel Margarita.
We skipped appetizers and went straight for the entree. I ordered asada tacos and a pork tamal, my fiance ordered al pastor tacos and a chile relleno. Again, everything was fresh, favorable and amazing. All perfectly seasoned. Authentic and reasonable, we will definitely be back.

This place is AMAZING! The service was friendly and in top of everything. The food was just delicious. I had the chimichanga (chicken instead of beef). The atmosphere was very nice and the prices are very reasonable . I highly recommend stopping in at San Miguel if you are in the mood for some GREAT mexican food!!
