If you’re looking for authentic Neapolitan pizza, this place is absolutely top-notch! The flavors are incredible—fresh ingredients, perfectly blistered crust, and that true Italian taste that’s hard to find outside of Naples. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion.
What really made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Nick, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He made great recommendations and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish.

This place will always be my favorite, food is delicious (I’m a real italian so I can’t lie lol) and the owner is so nice. The whole stuff is great, and to be honest Nick was the funniest waiter ever! Highly recommended. If you want a good pizza, authentic flavors and amazing pasta you know this is your spot.

I would give the service a 10. Mia was our server and she was the best! Food was delicious. Everything was full of flavor and hot. Usually on a valentines night restaurants get overwhelmed. They didn’t everything was great! They also gave each woman a long stemmed rose. We will definitely be back!!

Tried this place for the first time and so glad we did. The menu selections are excellent. We had multiple appetizers(meatballs, bruschetta and caprese) then grouper picatta, chicken picatta and fennel salad with blackened shrimp for our main entrees. All items were great..fresh, tasty and nice portions! Our server Nick P. was super attentive and made excellent recommendations. Everything he suggested was amazing! We will be definitely going back soon to try the pizzas which also looked very good.

-1 if I could’ve rated this place in the negatives !!!! Dinner last night was the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. The wait for food was over an hour after ordering. They brought it out separately for table of 4. We didn’t get to eat at same time. My lasagna was cold.they took it to warm it which took – another 20 Minutes. By then, all were done eating and I took it home ~ it was very salty & not memorable. Braised short rib plate had NO meat.-awful. They took it off bill but we still paid for all others. No accountability- All the food plates were sub par & minimal. Brought me a glass of wine I did not order due to not having the wine I did order. I would’ve liked the choice to choose my own glass of wine. What if I had allergies to a fruit in this wine they just “ decided” for me… the manager was the beverage mgr. – she apologized but failed to adequately compensate for a miserable dining experience. They sent us home with a dessert which was horrific once we got it home.. we tried to reheat it and it separated & turned to liquid. We will never return & shame on them for making their IG & FB posts so glamorous!! You don’t get what you pay ( a lot) for!!!! Feel so ripped off…. Not a good night of celebration for my daughters 21st birthday….

Great gem of an authentic Italian restaurant- had 5 ppl there and we went full medley of pastas, apps, entrees and pizza – all rock solid ! Wine list is very solid and priced very fairly!
Service from Tracy was on point and we got a surprise pop by from the chef / owner Guiseppe! Highly recommend for a nice comfortable relaxing experience with great food!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place is The interior is minimalist and sleek. The tables are spaced apart so you are not on top of each other. The noise level is moderate so we could talk at the table. Our server was a sweetheart and was very attentive and prompt with our order. The food was very good. The gnocchi was al dente which is great since most places it is too soft. The margherita pizza was delicious and firm, not soupy in the center. The sauce and cheese were flavorful. I even finished it without a doggie bag. I really enjoyed the meal and will definitely return again.

It is very high quality fresh authentic Italian food. I just returned from Italy about a year ago when my husband wanted to try this new Italian restaurant. I was still enjoying the afterglow of my fantastic culinary experience in Rome, Milan and the Amalfi coast of Italy and was very reluctant to go to San Mateo because I didn’t want to be disappointed.
I was so delighted and happy I did! The food was the most amazing and delicious Italian food I have eaten in Florida. I also spend a lot of time in NYC, where there is no shortage great authentic Italian food.
The only negative about this restaurant is the service….The food more than makes up for it! I know that it can be hard to find quality employees in the restaurant industry. My husband and I love the food here so much, that we overlook the slow service and often dine at the bar instead of a table. The food will not disappoint!

A Hidden Gem in Estero – Pure Italy!
Service – amazing. Food – amazing. Atmosphere and ambience – equally amazing. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and every dish I’ve tried (and I’ve been here at least 10 times!) has been outstanding. It truly feels like a slice of Italy right here in Estero, Florida.
The bread is always fresh, warm, and authentically made. The wine selection is thoughtful, well-curated, and served at just the right temperature. I’m genuinely impressed every time I visit, and this has become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine done right.

Worst Valentines Day EVER! My Husband and I chose to eat here for vday cuz the food looked really good online, So we had good expectations coming in here, but it immediately got worse as the night went on. First, we get seated and the hostess tells us we have 2 hrs cuz they need the table, um ok, ppl were being sat all around us and she didnt say that to any1 else, made us feel unwelcomed, esp cuz we had a reservation. Another weird thing was, when you sit down, no silverware, just plates, infact the waiter didnt bring us silverware til AFTER we got our appetizers, so weird, no restaurant ive ever gone to had a setup like that. Ok, our appetizers we had fried calamari and the burrata to which i added prosciutto di palma, the calamari was dry, had no flavor, my husband felt like it was microwaved, and we kept saying the phrase “ive had better” and believe me, it was true. The burrata had no flavor, was VERY salty, like they threw salt on it to give it flavor, smh. the prosciutto was not fresh, it was dark and getting hard, it was terrible, not only that, but the balsalmic glaze was extremely minimal and was on the plate not on the food, there was no olive oil, so everything was dried out, also the balsamic glaze that was on the plate was stuck to the plate when i went to dab a tomato from the dish onto it, it was on the plate like glue, burrata is one of my favs but i couldnt even eat it, i work at a pizzeria and i even said to my husband, the burrata at Rikos is 10x better and more flavorful then this crap. Then we get our entrees, i ordered the penne vodka and he got the chicken parm and we decided to get the gnocchi to share, because mind you we were starving having not eaten all day. The Penne Vodka was terrible, the sauce was dry and had no flavor, like eating leftover pasta that was microwaved. My husband said his chicken parm was dry and had no flavor, the cheese wasnt melty at all and the pasta that came with it was exactly like mine. I tasted it, the sauce was like i said before, like it came straight out of a jar, no flavor. The Gnocchi was the only thing that had flavor, but it wasnt amazing or anything, we were very disappointed. My husband kept saying after he ate the chicken that he felt gross like the food just wasnt settling. I had also asked for a glass of wine with dinner, i asked for the cab from cali, when he brought it to the table, you could smell it before even tasting it that it was cheap wine, so i told my waiter im sorry i just dont like the taste of the wine i dont want it anymore, and he said “let me ask my manager” before he could come back and tell me that he was sorry about that and seeing if i wanted a dif one, but i didnt want anything else at this point, the wine grossed me out on top of terrible food. The service was so bad, when a customer tells you they dont like something you dont say okay i have to talk to my manager and leave, you say im so sorry about that, is there anything else i could get you? maybe you want to try this.. etc and then take the wine away and take it off the bill. this waiter had no idea what he was doing, terrible customer service. We were both so disappointed with everything that we didnt even want dessert, this restaurants experience completely ruined valentines day for us, we couldnt talk bout anything other than how bad the food was, it was the worst experience i ever had. As if that wasnt enough, my husband asked for the bill, but when he got his “complimentary bill” sent to him through the app we noticed items on it that we didnt have, so we ended up having to go back inside and asking for a copy of the reciept to make sure, but our waiter had us under a random table number cuz they couldnt find it at first, we were charged for a grey goose that we never had, our waiter seemed very lost and confused, they voided our check and resubmitted it, and asked us if we wanted free dessert to take home, but we just wanted to get outa there. NEVER going back, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND you dont try it if you havent already. if i could give 0 stars i would, never again.
