The fresh bread was delectable and endless. It’s so good and don’t worry if your table eats a whole loaf there’s always more!
Cocktails were very refreshing and booming with flavor! I went with a tequila based lemonade (forgot the name)…..well a couple.
Appetizer: We went with the Fried Raviolis for an appetizer and they were amazing!
I finished with the Fra Diavolo ~ Spicy Cream “from the devil” with shrimp and it was to die for! (Spicy)
Desert was a Tiramisu (home made) it was a great way to finish the dining experience at this fine Italian Restaurant.
Things to mention, after reading other reviews, we came in early on a Tuesday and we’re immediately seated and served, others have mentioned waiting, I can only imagine how busy this place gets on Friday/Saturday nights and holiday weekends so make reservations if you’re planning a visit.
They have an outdoor patio with a nice authentic feel to it and the inside decor is very swanky as well.
Cheat Lake/Morgantown locals don’t sleep on this joint, it’s a gem. I’ve been to Pugs, Olivario’s and Nano’s while they are all nice choices this one stands out to me as the best dinner option. Nano’s is great lunch option.
Price and portions were very fair and portions, well you’re probably going home with left overs.
I can not wait to go back! I may treat myself this Father’s Day! If your dad likes Italian cuisine then knock his socks off with a reservation to San Mariano’s!
If you’ve gotten this far check out other places I have been on my Instagram account @motownfooddude
My entree was clam fettuccine in red sauce ! Excellent . We will be going there quite often !
This was our first time there . I thoroughly enjoyed myself !
No room for the canolli’s .
Try it ! You won’t be disappointed about anything there .
The atmosphere sends you on a trip to Italy !
The music is authentic
To start, we saw our waitress 3 times: once to bring us bread & take our drink order, once to take our food order & bring us our drinks, & once to bring us our bill & take our payment. We sat majority of our 1.5hour wait with empty drinks as she never came by for refills. Now, my husband and I are okay waiting long periods of time for amazing food. We’ve done it quite a few times, but this food was far from that.
I had the chicken marsala pictured below ($18.00 + $11 drink). The chicken wasn’t seasoned & the sauce was like water. It dripped off my noodles & tasted very similar to sugary chicken broth. It looked as appealing as dirty dish water. My husband had the Fettuccine Alfredo ($15.00 + drink, cant remember the price of the drink)… Or spaghetti Alfredo as his noodles were not Alfredo noodles. He compared the sauce to milky garlic & his chicken was incredibly dry. We tried the chicken marsala but left it uneaten. We did eat some of the Alfredo, but all in all, it was not a good place for date night. We ended at home with peanut butter & jellies that were more satisfying.
Special thanks to chefs Todd and Dakota who worked with us to set a terrific menu. The food was beautifully presented and very good! The main courses were served buffet style, but unlike other venues, these guys brought out food as needed so the entrées were fresh and hot throughout the dinner service – and the hosts weren’t stuck paying for unneeded food.
Our menu included a fabulous charcuterie table and bruschetta for starters, to order salads, and then a buffet of chicken piccata, beef lasagne, and burrata ravioli.
We’re so glad we ended up selecting San Marzano’s for our event.
