This is an amazing spot if you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican food I moved to this area around August 2023, and since then this place has become one of my regular favorites. I probably stop by about 3–4 times every month because the food is always so good. It’s a friendly, family-run restaurant, and you can really feel the welcoming atmosphere every time you walk in

They have a great selection too — tacos, burritos, and plenty of other delicious options to choose from. The prices are very reasonable, and honestly I’ve never had a meal here that disappointed me Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

Around lunchtime the line can get a bit long because it’s such a popular spot, but the staff work quickly and efficiently. Even during the rush, I’ve never had to wait more than about 15 minutes after ordering ⏱️ That’s pretty impressive considering how busy it gets.

If you’re ever nearby, I definitely recommend stopping in and giving it a try. It’s easily become one of my favorite places in Nashville! ✨

Yes sir pretty dang good
I will be back for sure
Can’t go wrong with any of the burritos grilled & toasted to perfection and then there’s my favorite huevos con chorizo plate w/rice & beans, corn tortillas and a big o’l glass of horchata or pineapple water.

I love this place. Rarely make it down that way, but when I do, it’s a must-stop. Tried the Torta the other day. Easily the best I’ve had.

And they’re so kind, too!

Definitely recommend it as a stop before the zoo, airport, you name it!

Review of San Luis Taqueria in Nashville

I stopped by San Luis Taqueria in Nashville on a whim for a late afternoon lunch, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. I ordered four tacos Mexican-style with the addition of tomatoes, and I was impressed with the quality. The tortillas were homemade, which added a delightful, authentic touch to every bite. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, fresh, and packed with flavor.

I also tried a sope, and it was exceptional—rich, savory, and wonderfully crafted. The accompanying red and green hot sauces were the perfect complements, offering just the right balance of heat and flavor without overwhelming the dishes.

Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was spotless. Both the dining area and the bathroom were immaculately clean, which speaks volumes about their commitment to maintaining high standards. The service was equally remarkable—the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome throughout my visit.

San Luis Taqueria delivers on all fronts: authentic, delicious food, a clean environment with excellent service. It’s a hidden gem worth visiting if you’re craving quality Mexican in Nashville. I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic place for great authentic Mexican food. Moved near the area around August 2023 and have been frequenting this spot 3-4 times a month since. Very friendly family-run place with tacos, burritos, and just about anything you’d like. Prices are fair and I’ve never had a meal that left me unhappy. If you get a chance to stop by, it’s worth your time. The lines get a little long around the lunch rush but they have never made me wait more than 15 minutes from placing the order. Probably one of my favorite places in Nashville.

It is not possible To get a better chorizo and egg breakfast burrito in the state of Tennessee. Hands-down.

The Tinga chicken is better than ANYWHERE else around. No comparison. This is as close to authentic Mexican you can get this side of the border. It’s clean, workers are inviting and polite, and the food is fresh fresh fresh!!!!!

You didn’t have to be friendly. You just didn’t have to be rude and condescending about the only question that I asked.
I apologize for being stupid since I can’t apologize for FEELING stupid. I live so close that I could walk there. You could have won a regular customer that tips fat.
All that you won is a local chef trashing your staff and service.

There are so many taco places/trucks in Nashville and it’s hard to eat at them all. But this place is one of the best for sure. The chicken quesadilla is phenomenal and the steak, cilantro and onion street tacos were so good.
Great prices, not too expensive and perfectly priced for the size of food you get.

ThEEEEE best guacamole I’ve ever had. Period. I built my own burrito (shrimp, rice, beans, cornbread, cheese, had to add more guac), smothered with cheese….soooooo good! Nice happy hour margarita specials.
