This place is like a hidden gem, I was weary of the whole “Tex-Mex” idea because I come from California and we know good Mexican food when we see it but this place really impressed me. The beans and rice were authentic and so good (that’s the first thing I always judge when at a Mexican food spot) and everything was delicious. My boyfriend and I got margaritas flights, I definitely recommend trying them. The manager even gave us a dessert for it being our first time (so kind !) We’ve already came back a second time and definitely will keep going there.

The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The customer service could have been better. I asked for water in a to go cup, and that is not what I got. I asked for the rice bowl with shredded chicken, add grilled onions and peppers. Our server Blanca got an attitude because she forgot it. When it comes to customer service kindness is free. She probably wouldn’t have forgotten if she had of written things down. The rice was over cooked and salty, and overall it could have been a great time it’s all about attention to detail. I did like the handwashing station that was outside of the bathroom that was unique. Also at the time of our visit the bathrooms were not clean.

Its rare that I give a place all five stars but everything was on point!! Service was prompt and I loved that the waitress let us know of any specials before we asked. Went this past Sunday so unsure of the weekend crowd or throughout the week but everything was fast and fresh!!! The only thing that I would say is that I would’ve got the calamari fried a little bit crispy. It had some type of breading in it and I don’t know if the breading was done all the way through. They were still good but the last couple of pieces I couldn’t eat but Will be coming back !! sidebar they also have outside seating and rooftop but the sun was sunning so we didn’t indulge in that but next time for sure!!

We finally had the chance to visit San Lucas Tex Mex & Cantina, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of vegetarian options to choose from. The flavors were fresh and authentic, and everything was cooked to perfection.

I had a great experience here! I went around lunch time and they have a lot of options. They allow us to substitute for $1.95 per dish. The flavor was on point. It caught me by surprise. I wasn’t expecting that. I read other reviews that weren’t so good. My experience was phenomenal! Health score 100! That’s always a plus in my book! The restaurant was very clean, including the restroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drink was great! I will definitely be back and I strongly recommend giving them a try if you’re in the area! Prices are reasonable as well.

Food was pretty good and filling. Our waitress Lexi went above and beyond . Drinks were really good. The manager also introduced herself to us and it was such a vibe it looked like everyone in the bar area was having great time. Good for families, couples, friend dates and solo dates.

We went on a date with another couple. Overall, not impressed. The portions were a bit small. We ordered quesadilla, fajita, salmon and mex bowl. I expected better tasting food for price we paid. The server was not knowledgable on food options when we had questions.

I’ve been trying to locate some of Gwinnett’s best Mexican spots and I decided to give San Lucas a try ! Came on a Tuesday night where the tacos range from 1.99-2.99(a weekly special) and $5 house margaritas. The food was delicious might I add and every staff member there was very attentive and pleasant. Last but not least the ambiance of this place is a very low key atmosphere, beautiful decor upstairs and downstairs in the restaurant!

I live in the country, but I feel like I flew to Mexico every time I eat here. The food is so fresh and good. The drinks are great! The people who work here are amazing! I’ve eaten here several times and will continue to patronize this wonderful establishment. I hope you do, too!

I’m glad I gave them another shot. .My husband and I tried them opening week, and they had not gotten there “stuff” together yet.
Now that a couple of years have passed, they are doing their thing!
