Food is not fresh, got a few tacos one being barbacoa, dried and but soaked in grease like it’s been there since yesterday, potato egg and bacon, dried out potatoes nothing fresh about any of it bacon was like beef jerky, all in all not worth the money threw it away and I was hungry, it was that bad. I don’t recommend anyone to waste their money.

For the San Juan Restaurant and Cantina near 35 By-pass and Walmart (fyi it is painted blue now). There is a San Juan (Bar & Grill) near the harbor. Salsa has a good taste just lacking in spiciness. The Texas Plate happened to be the special on this day, I asked the waitress what made it the special and she really didn’t know “maybe a dollar off” was the reply. Cost for plate with tax came in just under 11 bucks, well worth it. The “meat & gravy” aka carne guisada was very good, cheese enchiladas were also good, the rice was ‘meh’, refried beans were okay. Comes with a small scoop of guacamole. Tortillas at no extra charge, flour tortillas look and taste homemade. Plenty of food for the price. Service was friendly and attentive. Although I don’t live in AP, I in the area fairly often and will return.

Came here on Cinco de Mayo for breakfast. The inside was empty, but the drive through was busy. Ordered the machacado con huevos a la mexicana and a piña agua Fresca. All was great. Food was hot, quick, and good. Service was good too!

We were in town and have been craving some good Mexican food. This was always our stand by when we lived here, so we didn’t think twice about going here, this visit definitely changed that. We ordered the Carne Guisada plate, the San Juan Burrito plate, and a guacamole . The plated both were cool to the touch and the food was at best warm. My burrito with shrimp was way over cooked and many of the shrimp had shells on them. The Guisada was luke warm but had a good flavor. The guacamole was okay, not the best I’ve had, not the worst. The rice and beans that came with the dinners were warm but definitely had been cooked early and ran through the microwave.

Been a customer for 15 years we are visiting from out of town decided to try your restaurant on 1069 in Aransas pass wifes food tasted bad so we sent it back i got ready to pay and the lady ask me cash or credit i ask why she says because we add 3 percent onto your bill my response was you should have that posted because if people get blind sided they wont want to come here she processed my pmt and and said good we dont want you here i turned around grabbed my tip off the table and will never return very unprofessional towards customers sincerely K Moylan (USN Retired)
