We had a delightful lunch in this restaurant, and we’re really impressed with the staff, the service provided and the food was delicious
Throughout the meal, we had very attentive staff serving as drinks and clearing things away as well as the chef entertaining us and cooking some delicious food.
The steak was very tender, and cooked to our preferred style.
It was great that you could vary the flavours depending on the preferences of the table, the spicy food was pleasantly spicy and the garlic based option was also very accessible.
The menu is very generous and we were very pleased at the quantity of food that was served.
We look forward to going back to this restaurant.

This was a family special occasion lunch. The restaurant is downstairs. Perfectly okay although a little dark and could do with a modern refurb, but don’t let that put you off. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is fine – probably not the best Japanese you’ll eat, but very nice, and reasonably priced for Winchester eateries. The katsu curry was tasty and filling.

We drove from all over England as a party of 10 to celebrate my sons 21st, so we had high expectations! We had two Cealiacs and one vegetarian with everyone else being meat eaters. What an incredible experience! The staff were super friendly and the chef was funny, theatrical, engaging and cooked our food to perfection! The chef really made a special deal of my son’s bday in every way! The restaurant is lovely in every way and we loved the atmosphere. The gluten free food was superb, as was the vegetarian, and the meat and fish! Everything was perfect and far exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much for creating such a special memory for us all! We will absolutely be back!

My first time coming to a restaurant like this, entertainment and great food all in one. The chef’s we’re amazing at their jobs and made really tasty food, we booked the tables where you can watch them cook it, super interactive and fun, we had the steak, chicken and duck, all very tasty! The starters were great (tried sushi for the first time), the rice was amazing. Only suggestion is to offer people the vegetables mid way through the meal rather than at the end as we were so full with meat by that point. Can’t wait to return!

The place it a little dated and could do with a spruce of decor and colour, the chef was lovely and made if entertaining but hard to hear and understand over the big fan and all the noise. The steak and prawn were sadly overcooked even though asked for what temp we wanted and I requested plain noodles and it was just boiled noodles and nothing else on the hibachi so that was a let down and the vegetables came after I had already eaten as I can imagine it’s a demand to cook everyone’s protein to order. My husband got rice as he wanted and said it was good, it was very expensive for the experience. There was a lovely young waiter at the end who got drinks and dessert menus and he had such a lovely attitude. Nothing was awful and the service was good (once we got seated) but it definitely could do with some work and a refurb.

Tapanyaki chef’s entertainment was excellent and the meal he produced was delicious
Starter included tempura prawn, fish and veg – plus fried squid with spicy sauce.
Main course: wagu steak, lobster, black cod, egg fried rice and mixed veg with bean sprouts.
Good selection of drinks including Saporro beer.
Alas, dessert seltion of sugary cake and icecream was a bit disappointing after such a splendid meal. With better dessert option would have been 5 stars.

We went yesterday for my partners birthday and were sat at the chef table. The chef cooking the food was amazing and made it an great experience. All the staff were so attentive and made sure we were well looked after. Food was amazing! All the meats and seafood were so fresh and cooked to perfection. And well priced. We will definitely be coming here again and recommending it to all our friends and family.

this restaurant is based in a basement its not authentic Japanese. when you enter the restaurant it looks like you are going into some low quality place. they have just put some tables with a iron grill in front and a tiny bar in the basement. my booking was 9pm, upon arrival we didn’t get seated till 9:07pm and was told to sit on the side and order some drink. After when we finally got seated at our original table even at that point our table was half cleaned so we sat in the corner till they cleaned the rest of the table. During this our chef was finishing up on the other table so we didnt get served till 9:37pm and meanwhile they wanted us to get more drinks,
Food:
– Sushi is poorly prepared, the salmon did not taste fresh (for this price i should have gone Edo Asia or sticks and sushi)
– with the teppanyaki you get free appetizers which was 2x sushi rolls, 2x spring rolls and 2x gyoza and salad just thrown on the side. nothing was fresh other them the sushi which was also very debatable.
– i ordered chicken and king prawns. Chicken was dry and no flavour even tho the chef did aask how you like it to be prepared it was all very bland and tasted like cooked in cheap oil. King prawns were okay not great.
– you get a tiny portion of egg fired rice which was missing seasoning again.
Ambient:
– Dull not vibe, i came here after looking on TikTok but yeah dull.
– You so close to other tables that when their chef is cooking you can feel the heat back of you head and neck.
– No music, very loud atmosphere
– No good ventilation given you have live cooking infront of you.
Quality:
– poor for the price your paying, go Sticks and sushi or Shanghai 1814 or Edo Asia for some real sushi
– food presentation not great
Entertainment:
– This is the only good thing about this place but this only lasted like 20 mins till the chef is done cooking for everyone and then he leaves you.
This place was okay for first time Teppanyaki experience but not great overall experience, vibe and atmosphere.
UPDATE ON OWNERS FEEDBACK (attached picture):
Calling me a spam won’t change anything. Focus on improving your customer service. I was very excited to be there only to be let down. After spending so much money to get sick low class service is the reason for this review and the comparison to other top restaurant that cost similar. Use this review to improve, not further critique me. It’s your reputation at line not mine. Rest is up to you. Thanks.
