Best sushi I’ve ever tasted. When I eat here I go all out! Great way to treat yourself or take someone on a date. Great customer service and great family environment. I normally order all the baked sushi rolls with crab. Writing this review makes me want to get more sushi! Definitely recommend everyone to go dine in here!

Unsuspecting sushi place tucked in a strip mall, but so impressed. Rolls were fresh, huge, and delicious. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommend the Mexican Roll and the Spicy Double California Roll. Tempura was piping hot and crispy. I’ll be back!

Absolutely loved my visit to Samurai Sushi. I doordash them sometimes, and it’s delish, but recently I went in for my 30th birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the inside. It is very cozy and well decorated, with a view of the kitchen from the bar. I had a party of six, and there was not enough seats at first, but they were very kind in asking if we’d like to order to go. Thankfully a table opened up in less than five minutes so we got to eat in. The service was courteous and quick, and the food didn’t take long to come out either. We had the 209 roll, the Hulk roll, chicken teriyaki bowl, two orders of California rolls and a bowl of ramen, I don’t remember which kind, as well as calimari, egg rolls and shrimp tempura for appetizers. Everything came out in a timely manner and was delicious, I really loved my 209 roll, it’s deepfried and amazing. We also had fountain drinks, they have coke products. If I had one food to eat for the rest of my life it could be that sushi lol

I had some really great philly rolls here. They make them exactly how they’re supposed to be made with salmon, cream cheese, and avocado. The food here is excellent and the service is great. We love the atmosphere here and the people here are very nice.

First time trying this place. I have higher standards since I eaten ChaCha Sushi in San Jose, CA a lot. The food was ok and the selection was very limited. I did not like the fact that they charged credit card fee when I paid without disclosing or informing me. If I was informed of the credit card fee, I would have chosen to pay cash. However, most places when paying by CC does not include the CC fee. If you going to charge the CC fee, you need to let people know so it is not a surprise. I was informed only after scanning my CC and it displayed a CC fee of 2.4% but guest what? After revealing my bill, the CC fee was $2.16 out of total of $63.91 before tax. This was not 2.4% CC fee rate, instead that is 3.3% CC fee rate. Beacuse of this, I will not returning in the future since I don’t like this business practice.

Me and my boyfriend LOVE coming here. We come here often and we will keep on doing so because…
1- The service, the people that work there are so nice so friendly and they are just the best. They work very hard and they do their very best in everything that they do. We love going in there because they are so nice and so welcoming they keep the place clean and to be honest when the place gets packed and there is a lot of people they still work very hard and fast to bring food and to catch up with everyone. So if your in those times when the place is full and it takes a while for them to come to you BE PATIENT BECAUSE YOU WONT REGRET IT their service is the absolute best and so is their food.
2- Their food, The first time me and my boyfriend went there we didn’t know what to get so we both chose something completely random. When they gave us the food we tried it and IT WAS THE BEST. So we kept coming back more and more and at this point our goal is to try every single thing in the menu. Many times we have ordered so much food we struggled to make space on the table. BUT THAT WAS JUST HOW GOOD THEIR FOOD IS. Sometimes we order too much food BUT ITS OK WE PUT IT IN A BOX AND EAT IT LATER. Even cold it’s good. We absolutely love their food and I’m not sure if we’re even half ways to the whole menu
3- The atmosphere. The first time we went there it was so welcoming so nice and even tho it was our first time we were already so comfortable. Yes shy at first because we were new but the whole place plus the workers made it so comfortable and it was the best ever. We love it when we enter and it has a dark setting in there it is very comforting. We love the decorations that they have a everywhere and we appreciate how clean the bathroom is and how neat they are matching with the theme and how it’s always so clean and so is the whole place. So that sushi restaurant really is our comfort place to go to and eat and chill. And we recommend it 100x♾️% We also loved seeing the place change and grow the more we went. And I’m pretty sure a worker spoke in Spanish for my boyfriend HE WAS SHOCKED AND SO WAS I SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! we love that place SO MUCH!!!

This is my go to place for sushi, and I don’t even live in town. Really good food.
Edit: I have to say that ownership of Samurai has changed and so has the flavor profile/menu. This review is no longer accurate to the current style of food, and it seems that you can no longer get the rolls shown in my pictures. As such, I will probably not be making the drive over to Turlock anymore.
The food is still good and I liked it a lot, it just wasn’t the food that I loved from the old menu. I wish the new owner well.

Good sushi, but wish they had slightly more options and that they had a AYCE option. The baconator roll was a unique roll I’ve never thought of before and the prices are decent $12-15 a roll.

This is my family’s favorite place to eat sushi. The food is excellent and so is the customer service. We have come here for a couple of years now and have gotten to know the family that runs this place. They treat our family as family. Luv this place, I highly recommend it.
