We go to the Sam’s in Niles and it is fantastic. Was in youngstown decided to pick up chicken strips and fries. And it was horrible. The chicken’s strips were one inch to possibly 1 and a 1/2 inch, and they were dry and it cost a lot of money for such little chicken strips.never again. Should get my money back.

Food was awesome, had the fish, crabcakes and shrimp with fries and hush puppies. Also had the Gumbo and it was absolutely amazing too. The waitress was absolutely amazing, courteous and on top of her game. Met the owner and he is definitely an awesome guy, he cares about his customers, takes care of you and all the food is made when the order is placed. If you are hungry and want to try something new, definitely stop in and grab a bite. Thank you again for the hospitality and good food!!

As a chef who is from New Orleans, I have a deep respect for authentic Southern cooking — and this was anything but. The fish was old, overcooked, and so tough I needed a steak knife just to get through it. Nearly everything on the plate tasted like it came from a can or the freezer, and absolutely nothing was seasoned. Southern food should be rich, soulful, and full of flavor — this was bland, lifeless, and frankly, disrespectful to the cuisine.
If you’re allergic to seasoning, this place might be for you. Otherwise, I’d steer clear. I won’t be coming back, and I won’t be recommending it to anyone who knows what real Southern food is supposed to taste like. It’s places like this that make people lose trust in dining out.

It’s looks a bit run down it could use some work. I was really craving some shrimp and fried chicken. While visiting family in Youngstown we ordered the crab cakes, grilled shrimp, fried okra, 3 jumbo chicken wings dinner with beans and rice, and green beans.
I typically don’t have many complaints but none of the food was seasoned! I couldn’t believe it. My fiancé went inside and asked them if they had any seasoning and they said no. It also seems like the food may have been cooked in old grease because of what we could eat we both got sick upon getting back home. Please season the food at least with some season salt and pepper or something we spent too much not to have a good experience.

The building looks very interesting. Pull through to do the drive thru and it’s a banner hung up on the wall as the menu, which is tough to read. The girl that was working was kind of rude and short with us. Turned out the food descriptions for the order according to the menu were not actually correct. But in the end the food tasted great so at least it was worth it! We got the Philly cheesesteaks and fries and it was delicious
