The food was delicious!! Big helpings of everything, Oyster PoBoy with fries & Fish&Shrimp platter with Fries and red beans/rice. Our waitress (Brooklyn) was fast on her feet, I normally end up with no water in many places but not here. It was close to the I40 expressway, close to the hotel, clean with great food & service.

Of all places to celebrate a birthday, my son chose Sam’s Southern Eatery in Russellville, AR. He ordered the Talapia Platter with fries and green beans. The food was so fresh and hot it melted the food box. The fish (2 large pieces) was tasty GOOD and we were able to substitute the shrimp for (2) delicious chicken strips. The portion size like always was off-the plate and the fries crunched until the last bite.

Very nice and clean. Fast service with great food. The Sam’s Special is so good with the red beans and rice. And ya can’t go wrong with the fried pickles! Nice clean restrooms. The servers was very tentative and nice. Not bad pricing for the amount of food. The shrimp poboy is outstanding as well.

Wow oh wow. Today was our first visit and we were totally blown away. The service was great. Mandy was our server and was so friendly and attentive. The food came fast and it was amazing. Fantastic. Seriously the other seafood place in town better step up. The fish fillets were substantial pieces not thin strips. Perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I could go on but everything was perfect. So flavorful and not greasy at ALL. Definitely a new favorite stop.

Sam’s is one of my wife and mine most favorite places to eat in Russellville. We have never had bad food here and the service and food are always excellent. Catfish, fried or grilled jumbo shrimp, even chicken strips…any are a excellent choice here. The fried pies are good also.

Shrimp was good but the oysters were terrible! If restaurants like Sam’s could understand that less is best when it comes to seasoning and battering oysters the better. Plus smaller oysters are much better! The price was kinda high but everything else was okay.
