Absolutely the friendliest staff. They greeted us as we walked in and treated us great. But the catfish is absolutely amazing. Fresh and so tasty with a light batter that just made every bite enjoyable. The sides with the buttery mashed taters and red beans and rice was perfect. We will be back!

This place is really under rated. The food and service here were great. But I was told stay away from the burgers. I was told it wasn’t real meat. But the chicken and fish were really good. The come slaw was fresh and so was the okra.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! These people are the absolute nicest folks in pine bluff! The food was HOT and absolutely amazing!! If I wasn’t on a diet I would pig out every single day!! Hats off to the cooks, the Wonderful woman at the cash register and the sweet lady that made all the cakes I ate my food in the parking lot lol. I couldn’t wait!

What a rip-off. Very small container of subpar gumbo for $13.00. Unbelievably overpriced food. I will never return. The gumbo tasted so bad that I could not finish eating it. I understand now why there was only one other customer in the restaurant.
Mens restroom is terrible. There was no soap or towels. The hand dryer did not work. The sink was broken, too. Unbelievable! How can management not know about this issue?

I was passing through Pine Bluff during lunch and asked Maps to find restaurants near me and Sam’s Southern Eatery was top of the list!! We USED to have a Sam’s in El Dorado and even Magnolia, I believe, but they are no longer there ♂️!!! I loved eating at Sam’s so I drove straight there and it didn’t disappoint, either!! Just how I remembered it!! Note to Sam: Come back to Eldo or Magnolia!!

If you’re looking for good southern food with no frills then this is your spot! The food is delicious and fresh. The fish portions are HUGE and the hush puppies are full of flavor. You will not leave hungry. The staff is friendly. They are short staffed right now so please be patient.
