Today’s Valentine’s Day so I really didn’t feel like cooking. I picked up my phone and I called Sam’s. My husband had the daily special. I had the Chicken livers and gizzards. When my husband opened his box, Lord, have mercy, there was a lot of beautiful food sitting there. I wish we would have got a picture but was so good. We just dug in absolutely 5 stars above my liver and gizzards were outstanding. Actually, and I’m a pretty good cook myself so kudos to y’all love Sam southern eatery. If you want some good heartwarming, soul warming plenty on your plate to eat and they did say this in one review, you can share, but I’m selfish and I don’t share with nobody. So when you’re in Alexandria, stop by tell the owner and his wife. Hello They are super friendly customer oriented and polite that goes beyond the moon for me. Thanks again, y’all.

We were passing through from Omaha, NE and stopped to eat here based on reviews we read. It definitely did not disappoint. My fiancé got grilled fish and grilled shrimp, which he said was great! I got a salad and added fries based on the recommendation of a staff member. When they dropped off the food they gave us two small cups of the house made sauce. It was so good! The fries were good enough to eat without sauce because the seasoning is so good, but I dipped a lot of them in the sauce anyways because it’s just that good. Stop and eat here if you get the chance.

We decided to stop in for a late lunch on our way back to Ft. Worth and we were SO glad that we did! The food is delicious! I had the fried fish with grilled shrimp and my husband had the fried fish with fried shrimp. Everything was fresh and hot and honestly so good. The prices were more than reasonable, the atmosphere was nice and clean and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be stopping here again while traveling through!

The plates I ordered were very delicious The batter on both the shrimp and the fish was very flavorful and crispy the red beans and rice was really good as well im usually used to having the shrimp butterfly and battered but i wasn’t going to complain cause it was good

First time there and I am from out of town and used Google Maps “restaurants nearby” to see it/find it.
I was not aware it was basically a fast food restaurant. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Had 4 chicken fingers and 4 grilled shrimp with fries and slaw. The food was ok, not great. Large portions. Shrimp was a little undercooked so I only ate two. Chicken fingers were ok, a little greasy and had a weird taste (old oil?). Fries were good as was slaw. All in all it was ok for fast food. I would probably pass next time. Service was very courteous and fast.

New to Louisiana and was in the mood for something different. I ordered a grilled shrimp dinner and a fried shrimp/tender combo dinner. I got red beans, fries, coleslaw and hush puppies for the sides. When I tell you EVERYTHING I MEAN EVERYTHING was delicious!!!!!!!! Food arrived hot, fresh, seasoned good, hush puppies tasted homemade, grilled shrimp succulent fried shrimp just right and red beans tasted like your grandma made them. Run don’t walk yall……I promise you will NOT be disappointed. 10 stars

First time in Louisiana and wasn’t familiar with local food, clerk made some good recommendations and guaranteed we’d like it, and we sure did. We had the Shrimp Poboy and the fish Poboy. I highly recommend both, prices are fair and portions are generous
