This place is awesome. Easy on and off of the interstate. Nice friendly staff and a unique place. The menu had several selections to choose from. It’s a little pricey for a quick lunch but you get what you pay for. We had enough leftovers to take with us.

Came through town for an athletic event and stopped here to have dinner. Our waitress, Sharon, was a delight. The portions were large and the food was tasty. I ordered the salmon fettuccine and my husband had the catfish po’boy, but I think anything would be delicious. I took a piece of the peanutbutter cake to go and I can’t wait to taste it!

We asked the lady at the hotel where was the best place to eat and without hesitation she sent us here. The food was sooo good, it was hard to stop eating it. First of all nothing has pork in it. The red beans and rice, greens with hot water cornbread, the shrimp, oysters, and wings were all amazing. I had a combo plate. I also tried the red velvet cake…not what I was expecting so maybe try a different flavor and let me know what you think.

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!!! My husband and I were traveling through Louisiana to Texas and stopped at Sam’s Southern Eatery, we were not disappointed!! Our waitress, Sarah was so sweet and recommended the meal we got. We were able to share the combo dinner and still had food left over!! I’ve had red beans and rice before but these were the best I’ve ever had!! I highly recommend Sam’s to anyone who wants authentic Cajun food!!

We go here fairly often, today we had Christa ( did I spell that right …??).
FANTASTIC !!
We got there just after 11am on a Sunday morning. Plenty of parking still and we were promptly seated once inside.
The decor is nice and casual. Most definitely relaxing, for sure ! See photos of the interior….
The food is always delish and portions are GENEROUS !! They are not known for knowing how to count – in your favor. A 3 piece will likely be delivered as a 4
They’ve been at this location for a few years now – I remember how excited I was to finally have one close to home ! They have a great reputation and this location is booming !
We most highly recommend Sam’s- any location. They’re all great !

Stopped in on our way back to Texas bc we wanted some good “soul” seafood. This was definitely THE place!! Portions are huge and everything was delicious! We had fried catfish, oysters, shrimp and fried livers. We would definitely drive an hour and a half from home just to go back to eat there!

I have to say. I knew nothing about this place. I just pulled in with my sister passing through. The food was excellent! My sister was cold so our waitress Sharon gave her the sweater she was wearing. I had the fried chicken sammich and it came with 3 chicken breasts. Unreal for $14.99! My sister had shrimp poboy and it was packed. Great place to stop in and great service! This beats the high end fru fru places. We both ate for $30. Nice! Will be back when passing through.

Oysters wasn’t cooked all the way will never order again. This is not worth 35 dollars they will make someone sick. The batter falling off the shrimp and oysters the oysters is undercooked still see the batter
