I stopped in town on business. Once done, i looked up a lunch spot.
The rating was very good, close to 5 stars. It’s attached to a casino, so i drove past it. The food was better than expected.
I love how the strips of fish made each bite flavorful. Normally, when fish is prepared, the ends are burnt.
Sam’s was above all. My shrimp were large enough and had a flaky batter. I would drive back again for this food.

The shrimp are Huge, I got fish and shrimp both fried. They were very good. Again, the shrimp were huge. The lady at the counter was very upbeat and friendly. She was working her tail off. I went at lunch and they were pretty busy. She was handling it very well. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s in the market for burgers, Phillies, fried or grilled seafood.

Real southern eatin’. I ordered a Shrimp Po’boy, my spouse got buffalo wings. We got complimentary Hugh Puppies, they were delicious!! Everything was absolutely delicious! Even the fries had some kickass seasoning! The building is a little run down and connected to a casino. Ample parking with truck parking! Will definitely be back!

it was ok but they are NOT giving you what you pay for. they are ripping folks off by serving basa in place of catfish, breading was a little to salty for my taste and the ramalode left a lot to be desired . Now that’s catfish in the photo that I fried. I was visiting family in Shreveport. I’m a cook and know they are cheating their customers. next time you purchase catfish from them compare it to my catfish photo.

First time coming to this location. As usual, the was good, but what was impressed with was the service. The lady at the counter (call her Ms. D because of the pendant on her necklace) had a great attitude, was very personable, and had great work ethic. It’s rare to find someone like that who deals with public all the time. Great job Ms. D!!!

Sam’s Southern Eatery has the best homemade southern food I have had. The portions are large and the quality is outstanding! The collard greens and fried okra are delicious. They have healthy options as well you can have your fish, shrimp and chicken grilled or blackened! Love! Love! Love!
