Had the fish and shrimp meal with hush puppies and fries. Girlfriend had the burger with fries. And we got the fried okra and cheese stick appetizers. Everything was great, cooked perfect, good seasoning and sauces. Happy with everything and great prices.

This is that little location that is performing some COOKING!!!!!
I am a shrimp freak and I can tell you that each time I am in town my wife and I will drive to this location even though we pass another Sam’s.
This is because the shrimp was SEASONED!!!!! And fried properly, the cold slaw was NOT over sweet, and it still had a VERY nice crunch to it, the string beans had flavor and NOT salt to tell you it had flavor.
Let’s talk about that grilled fish, again SEASONED and NOT salty to tell me you put seasoning on it.
The French fries yup NICELY fried and slightly salted.
The crab cakes were good, but I’m going to say that it was imitation crab because it normally does not fry up so well, and I say it holds too much oil.
OHHHH I met the owner or co- owner she was very nice and talkative she did not want to do a video as she says she gets camera shy.
We asked for lemon tea water and she actually squeezed the lemon into the water to provide LEMON WATER not water with a lemon in it.

Was nervous to try it for the first time but they did not disappoint. I was craving fried fish and didn’t feel like buying and cooking it. Everything was delicious including their special sauce. Best price for a four piece fish dinner you will find, I’m pretty sure, cuz that’s what helped me narrow down my choice of where to get it. Restaurant was clean and the service was more than excellent!! Shall return!!

Great food. All fried, we had fish and oysters with 2 sides, coleslaw and hush puppies, and fish, hush puppies and rice and beans, and a cup of gumbo. Everything was delicious. Small eating area inside. It seemed they were mostly set up for take out. My only objection was cheap, plastic silverware. Service was excellent.

This was my first visit to a Sam’s Southern Eatery location. I was visiting from out of the area. I ordered a cup of Gumbo, Hush Puppies , and Fried Mushrooms. I did not order a drink because the fountain machine was apparently broken, they did have a limited selection of cans of soda to purchase though. The gumbo was probably about 12-16 oz so the portion size was large but it had very little flavor, no sausage, imitation crab and a couple pieces of chicken. I would not recommend the gumbo. The Fried Mushrooms were decent but the “ranch” they came with for dipping definitely was coleslaw sauce and the hot sauce tasted like straight vinegar. Then there were the hush puppies. The hush puppies give me hope for some of the other menu items. They were absolutely delicious. I could make a meal of those. Definitely order the hush puppies! Our service was okay. We were directed to sit and our order was taken by a friendly woman and food delivered but no table checks were made and we paid at the counter. It was a weird combination of diner and fast food style service. The parking lot and building have definitely seen better days. I didn’t use the bathroom but there was one available.
TL;DR: I would give them another chance because the hush puppies were amazing but overall it was an underwhelming experience.

Great place to have fish,shrimp and chicken. They even have a drive thru and for the price the size of the meal was great and with great flavor. Recommend to anyone who likes fried fish ,chicken and seafood.

My husband’s Southern and absolutely ecstatic at how good the food was. We found “our” restaurant. I had the Shrimp Po Boy and was delicious. The hostess was so nice and helpful. Definitely going back and ordering out from there again!

Sam’s Southern Eatery is a place you MUST GO TO if you are in the Warren Nile’s area!! Very clean atmosphere!!! Also very friendly!! Food is always FRESH and done in a timely manner!!! Not to mention that the prices are very reasonable!! They really go out of their way for their customers!!! My car broke down one day in their lot and the owners were beyond accommodating!! Even coming outside and helping me push my vehicle away from the street!! This place is a golden gem from the inside to the outside. Make sure you support these GREAT PEOPLE and they business!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

We got the shrimp dinner and 4 piece fish dinner with coleslaw, fries, and hush puppies. When I say everything was hot and fresh! I mean it. Everything was perfectly seasoned. A 10 out of 10. We will definitely be returning soon.
