This was a nice and calm experience. We arrived during the evening around 6 pm. As soon as we neared the area it felt like a charming place. It had a nicely lit patio with live music and a few tables full of guest.
We choose to sit inside where it was quiet and spacious. We were quickly attended with bread and water. The butter was cold and a bit difficult to spread on the bread and the ravioli was a bit hard but nothing too serious. Aside from that I ordered a chocolate martini. The service was really friendly and didn’t need to be asked for the specials. Our server quickly brought us the chalk board. I did ask about the drinks since I was curious about the chocolate martini. Thought he had only a few drinks he wasn’t too sure what was in it. He wasn’t afraid to make something up to pull out and answer and quickly found someone who would know. They gave me a full list of what it contains straight off his head(I assume he was the bartender lol) and I was sold. Taste wise the chocolate wasn’t too strong so you can still taste the liquor so overall sweetness was a 3/5. There was chocolate syrup at the end but it was merely a finger tips worth.
Overall this was a good and comfortable experience for any locals looking for Italian food.

Wish I could give more stars and credit to the cutest Italian place we’ve been to yet!
The outdoor seating is so cute at night, and they had live music which added to the ambiance. Our server was attentive and wonderful!
The food was absolutely delicious, some of the best!
I got the shrimp scampi, and the shrimp were big and so yummy.
The homemade cannoli was also very good.
Would definitely come back and recommend!!

I had an incredible dining experience at Sam’s Italian Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry, and it was all thanks to Gary! From the moment we sat down, Gary made us feel welcome with his warm personality and attentive service. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our every need was met throughout the meal. His timing was perfect, always checking in without being intrusive, and his genuine enthusiasm made the evening even more special. If you’re looking for top-notch service to match the amazing food, be sure to ask for Gary – he’s truly the best!

Ordered the rustica pizza (broccoli rabe, sausage & mozzarella) and tortellini meat Alfredo with grilled chicken. Both dishes were great and of appropriate serving size. The waiters were attentive and friendly. We also got dessert, the Italian cheesecake and gelato which were delicious! Prices were of an average Italian restaurant in Westchester.

I used to come here with my family when I was a little kid. I’ve grown up now and so has this Dobbs Ferry staple. I had the halibut special. Totally delicious. David made the evening really great. The service was 100%. I’m looking forward to when we come back.

Ordered out one day this week. There “carbonara” was just pasta with butter and Romano cheese. No sign of an egg base anywhere to be found. So I paid $20 for pasta with butter and cheese and a few pieces of bacon, they didn’t even spring for the guanciale. The salad tasted like it wasn’t washed. I’ve been coming since I was a kid and this meal was a major disappointment

We’ve been regulars at your restaurant for our work group dinners, but I’m very disappointed by the way we’ve been treated during our last two visits. Despite being loyal customers, the service was unwelcoming and rushed. Staff members were standing around watching us, and within barely an hour and a half of being seated, we felt pushed out. While we were still enjoying our wine and coffee, the owner and staff began moving tables around us—making it clear that we were no longer welcome to stay.

This behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. It left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. After such poor treatment, I will not be returning, and I can no longer recommend this restaurant to others. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially considering the support we’ve given your business over time.
