I ordered the amazing daily deal of BOGO pizza, fried pickles , and hot wings. The food was hot, fresh, and ready upon arrival! I usually sit at their bar for a “mom-cap” before grabbing my order, which coupled with their service and atmosphere are great and their prices are very reasonable!

$30 for 2 pizzas. I ordered extra sauce, both had barely any. One was burnt on the bottom. Thin crust was was like eating a wet paper plate, and zero flavor.

We tried Sam’s again after a couple of years as we hit a patch at this location where the food just wasn’t that good. The pizzas were bland and not a lot of toppings. Thankfully, we tried them again after the renovation and it was really good. Between the steak and cheese pizza and the gyro platter, we were really impressed with the flavors and freshness. We’ll come again and see how it goes. I’ll bump this to five stars if it stays the same as this visit 🙂

Let me be clear: Sam’s Pizza and Subs is not a restaurant it’s an experience. A spiritual awakening. A flavor pilgrimage. And at the center of it all stands Benjamin Maselli, a man who clearly woke up one day and decided mediocrity would never be tolerated on his watch.
The pizza? Unreasonably good. The kind of pizza that makes you stop mid-bite, stare at the ceiling, and reconsider every bad food decision you’ve ever made. Perfect crust. Sauce that actually tastes like it was made by a human with emotions. Cheese coverage so generous it feels personal.
And the subs? Forget it. Structural integrity. Flavor balance. Pure dominance. Every bite hits like it was engineered by someone who actually cares which brings me back to Benjamin Maselli, because you don’t get food this dialed-in without someone running the show like a precision operation.
You can tell when someone takes pride in what they do, and Benjamin’s influence is everywhere. From the consistency, to the quality vibe this place is firing on all cylinders. If excellence had a foreman, it’d be him.
Sam’s Pizza and Subs isn’t just where you eat when you’re hungry.
It’s where you go when you want confirmation that good food still exists.

Ordered two pizzas to go, when I got there they were burnt. Not dark brown, charcol black. When I brought it to their attention they argued with me. They said that is the way they make it. When I asked them to remake it they said it would be the same way or raw. Evidentally there is nothing in between. I got scolded that I should have told them I didnt want burnt pizza when ordering it. Unless you want burnt pizza with an attitude, I dont recommend this place.

We have been getting takeout and dining in at this Sam’s location since 2003. The quality of the food has dropped significantly and the cost to eat here has increased dramatically over the past two years. The takeout menus are no longer valid for pricing (per the restaurant staff) and the website pricing is hit/miss on accuracy. The receipt you receive doesn’t even breakout the items you purchased. Be very careful when purchasing food here.

Order for carryout was a Gyro lunch special and pepper steak & cheese sub lunch special. Both come with fries and 12 oz soda. The Gyro was very good. The steak & cheese meat was very tough and had bits of griddle. Not worth $20+. The counter staff were attentive. Order was correct. The entrance is dated but clean.

*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like OMG, awesome, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don’t get to pick one. No we don’t care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.

I did not come here expecting a life-altering culinary experience, yet here I am, forever changed.
First of all: the pizza. This isn’t just pizza. This is architecturally sound, perfectly balanced, cheesy-to-sauce-to-crust harmony. The crust has that ideal chew where you know it was made by someone who respects dough. The subs? Absolute units. Stuffed like they’re trying to solve world hunger one sandwich at a time.
Now let’s talk about Whitney.
Whitney is not just an employee—Whitney is a pillar of the Sam’s Pizza & Subs institution. The kind of person who makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time in the resteruant. Friendly, efficient, and somehow managing peak-hour chaos like it’s a casual Tuesday afternoon. If customer service were an Olympic sport, Whitney would be standing on the podium while the national anthem plays.
Order came out fast, hot, and exactly right. No soggy nonsense. No corner-cutting. Just pure, unapologetic comfort food excellence.
10/10. Would rearrange my schedule, reroute my drive, and ignore other food options entirely to eat here again.

I’ve ordered from this location many times before via online, yet today some how I guess I forgot how to order properly. Over several years we have ordered from this location 100’s of times. Yet today when I called because my second pizza didn’t show up, I was told it didn’t show on their side. Even though I have ordered here many times and have NEVER had this issue before. The manager who got on the phone said if I wanted the pizza I had to come pick it up, as there system only shows one. I tipped 25%, as usual. I simply asked since I am busy to please deliver, she said they can’t do that.. If I want it I have to come pick it up. I advised her I don’t plan to do that, I don’t have time. If they can’t deliver the pizza that I am positive I ordered, that never sent the email receipt, we will have to stop ordering from them, and she said well rules are rules.. take care. Shows a great level of customer care and service there. Hate seeing such a good company go down hill over a simple silly manager. I NEVER got the email it said it would send, the manager said without it, it is what it is, what they have is right. Even though she confirmed my email address, it never came through. Let’s not accept maybe there was a failure in the system and service a repeat customer, let’s just not waste the time or money. Don’t worry, if this is how it is, you won’t have to worry about our money any more.

Update: I do appreciate the acknowledgment and offer, and will miss the pizza days. Yet, the way that young lady treated me that day has made it a firm no thank you ever again.

Happened to find this Pizza Resturant after getting of from Route 95 looking for a bathroom. Bathrooms were clean enough, friendly staff and reasonable prices for food. Variety of food available including take out and eat in. I would stop here again when in the area, if they were able to advertise on the highway I am sure this would be a breath of fresh air for travelers tired of fast food national chains along the highway!

Best happy hour in Stafford. Happy hour daily from 3-7. We had wings, pickle spears and mozerralla sticks. Ask for Paige at the newly remodeled bar. Wine wings and winners (they have tvs for football.)
