San Diego native Sam Garcia and family has opened their new Mexican Restaurant in the Carlsbad Gateway Center offering the authentic tastes of Mexican Cuisine at its best. Sam loves to cook every kind of food – from Mexican, Greek, Italian, South American, and many others, but she has a special passion for creating her unique take on Mexican food. Sam’s Kitchen has been providing home and professional catering in the North San Diego County area since 2011. Sam’s culinary roots have been in the food and catering business since the year 2000 serving unique dishes for weddings and local company events including the renowned video game company “High Moon Studios”.

wow! where do I start? this place is delicious!!! I had the la Bomba because who can resist a tasty breakfast burrito? it may seem pricey to some but it’s worth it! Sam is very generous with the portions she serves and it’s great quality so the price is very fair. I thought that I would be able to eat the entire burrito but It was so large I had to save some of it for my next meal! I also love the fact that you can customize your order. unfortunately I have to limit carbs but was informed that next time I can order my burrito as a bowl. Sam will take care of you and work around dietary restrictions. I will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. I’m also very excited to share the vegetarian options with my family 🙂

I’ve worked in the area for a year and hadn’t tried Sam’s Kitchen until today – and I’m regretting waiting so long! I ordered the La Bomba burrito and it’s everything you could ever want – add avo! This thing is the size of my face, the steak is peppered, and the cheese is melty and delicious. Do it!

The food was absolutely fantastic. The Birria tacos were delicious, with fresh corn tortillas and very savory beef. Also got the pulled pork burrito, which I had as leftovers the next day, still exquisite. The cabbage mixed with the pulled pork was divine, tho I recommend not saving this one for later since the cabbage isn’t intended to be microwaved. Spot is clean and tidy, nothing fancy, just excellent food.
