Really nice place, lovely quiet atmosphere, the onion bargees are really nice, but table space can be quite small and a little stressful to organise where to put plates and food. So, table space is the only reason it’s not 5 stars. Other than that, the food, poppadoms, naan bread and everything else was really nice, staff nice and friendly.

As someone who has gone to numerous restaurants in Inverness I can say easily that Sam’s is one of the best in town.
The food is exceptional and the service is first rate.

We were on a road trip to Scotland from UK and wanted to have an Indian food. We reached Inverness around 9 pm and found about this place. This place is located at very ideal and easily approachable location. The joint claims it is Indian but it is actually a Bangladeshi owned joint. However the ambience was really good – the joint was spacious and having nice Indian menu. The food was so good, the service was so fast. An ideal place to have comparatively a good Indian meal on foreign land.

This was the worst beef steak I’ve ever had in my life. Everything, from the beef to the chicken and chapatis, was clearly frozen—nothing was fresh. When I brought the poor food quality to the manager’s attention, they refused to acknowledge any fault.

We really enjoyed our dinner. After a long day of travel, the service and food were just what we needed. Moyna, our server, took great care of our needs and helped with allergies and selections. Thank you, Moyna!

Very poor service and unprofessional behaviour towards tourists. We waited for nearly an hour, and when we asked about our food, the staff and owners responded rudely, saying that waiting an hour or more is normal in Inverness and that we were free to leave if we didn’t want to wait. Extremely unwelcoming attitude—tourists are better off avoiding this place altogether.

Service is fast. Food is also top quality. We ordered soup which was great and yummy. Chicken tikka was also delicious. Chicken biryani tasted good and quantity is good enough for 2 moderate people. I also ordered a vegetable platter. It included onion bhaaji, mushroom bhaji and veg samosa. It wasn’t that great, but not many options are available for vegetarians, so you have to compromise. Overall great experience. Must visit for great food.

Masala tea not served. Did not like the way the table and seats were cleaned. Out of 3 person saw one at a higher standard.
It was busy and crowded waited until 9.30pm to be seated.
