We ordered $93 worth of food. We got 3 cheeseburgers and unfortunately they were terrible. I do not recommend a burger from here at all. Now the Italian beef sandwich? That was so good. I tried some of my husband’s and I wish that’s what I had gotten but we just grabbed a to-go order as we we’re just stopping through town. The fries were good, the original philly cheese steak sandwich was okay, not great. I would stop here again, even though we didn’t care for our burgers, the Italian beef is where it’s at.

Incredible. Not sure you can overstate how good the cheese steak and special seasoned fries are! Then along comes the baklava and oh my! That was a home run! Then the owner is genuinely a super nice guy. Giving his employees high 5s and the whole deal! Can’t wait until my next visit! The only problem is deciding whether to stick with the AMAZING cheese steak or try something else on the menu that looks amazing!

Enjoyed my Italian beef, though the smaller one would have been plenty.

I knew when I was asked about a dipped bun, cheese, and/or peppers the chances were better for a yummy sandwich. I was very happy to see the peppers. It’s a small thing, but you rarely get the correct ones – hot and canned with carrots, celery and peppers – outside of Chicago!

Service was great. Fry oil was pretty fresh. Clean place. Thanks!

They’ve done it again. Our plans to go to Chicago for the holidays were canceled. My awesome wife said, let’s go to Sam’s Chicago, will that help. My reply is in the pictures. The people there treat everyone like family and it’s always time to eat. This time we took it easy. Beefs, Hotdogs, Philly’s, fries onion rings and spicy cauliflower topped off with some of the best Baklava I’ve had in years. When your tired of turkey, Sam’s is the place.

The dining room is impeccably maintained, the staff unfailingly warm, and the owner—ever present and genuinely engaged—leads his kitchen with a precision that borders on the surgical.

Value is another of Sam’s strengths. Portions are generous, pricing is refreshingly fair, and the menu offers a breadth that caters to both comfort-food enthusiasts and curious newcomers. The food itself is remarkably consistent. Their cheesesteak, in particular, is executed with a satisfying balance of richness and restraint—a sandwich that delivers exactly what a great cheesesteak should.

The fries deserve their own mention: dusted with a proprietary seasoning that adds a bright, flavorful lift without overwhelming heat, they transform a simple side into something notably more memorable.

Blown away at how good this Italian Beef Sandwich truly is! Juicy, meaty, like legit the meat was overflowing, the peppers gave it the spicy I needed and the added cheese was top tier! One of the best, if not the best Italian beef sandwiches I’ve had!

I ordered a pick up order for a 10 piece chicken wing dinner and it just was ok. I didn’t know they sprinkle all this extra seasoning on the top and they were fried a little too long. Now I love crunchy chicken but these were over fried. So the smaller wings were more hard/dry vs being crunchy. And had I known about the extra seasoning I would’ve had them omit it. I could’ve missed were that was stated on the menu, I’m not really sure. Everything was hot and ready when I arrived and the lady at the counter was super friendly. So overall not super terrible but not great either. The fries were good though.
