We are visiting from out of town. Keisha was our server tonight and she was excellent and the food was amazing! We can be particular about our food and the fried chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly. It was awesome you had turkey collard greens so rare to find that too. Will definitely be back when in town again!!

Fantastic chicken. The collards were flawless. The staff was entertaining and friendly. Wished I lived closer. I would dine weekly. We came in with a large group and they were able to accommodate us. Make sure to call if you have a large group. There is not much space for parties of ten or more. Can’t recommend enough.

Good food, EXCELLENT SERVICE!! Orders were taken promptly and food arrived quickly. The collard greens are delicious and well seasoned and the cornbread melts in your mouth. The prices are very decent especially considering portion sizes. I will definitely eat here again! For the BEST service, ask for Ms. Keisha. Professional and friendly.

We were looking for a cafe or home style cooking when we ran across Sam’s Bar & Grill on a Google search. It was just what we needed. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Very friendly and checked on us often. Not a fancy place but nice and clean and reasonable prices. The servings were large and we left satisfied. My friend had the seafood combo and I had the chicken and ribs. His fav was the collared greens and I absolutely loved the cornbread …it tasted sweet…almost like a waffle. The entire meal was great and we will go again if we ever make it back to New Jersey. Thank you from two okies from Oklahoma.

It absolutely was not bad BUT wasn’t the best. Was a little disappointed. Got the ribs, mac and cheese (my favorite food), collards, and cornbread. Wasn’t spectacular. Husband had fried wings with his ribs. The chicken tasted much better. Was later told by someone it’s best to eat their chicken and waffles. Maybe I’ll try ’em again…

I went here about a week ago and had the 4 piece chicken and two sides. It was kind of late so I didn’t really expect much, and I sure was right. The chicken was good but my mac & cheese was dry and the rice and gravy was too salty. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade and that was loaded in sugar, nothing I could not fix though.
I also have a few friends who’ve stated that the business owners are very stingy with their supplies, giving customers only 1 napkin. And telling their employees only give out more when asked. (Who does that?) The cornbread was amazing.
I would go back and try other items.

The food here is consistently over the top. Modest place with great southern food and familiar music from back in the day. I had the half fried chicken with blueberry pancakes and cherry koolaid. Way too good!
