Driving around a new area is a great opportunity to try some place new, today it was Sammy’s Cafe. First thing that I noticed is they offer a weekday classic breakfast, 2x2x2 eggs, bacon, and pancakes for $10.99. In today’s world that is a good price. My wife tried the strawberry blinz as was very happy to say they were fresh and good. The staff was attentive and the cafe seemed to be fairly new. It looks like they did a descent job of converting a Baja Fresh to a comfortable cafe.They have an outdoor patio that would be nice in good weather to eat at. Overall a very good experience

Goodness! I LOVE the many options they have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve Mexican dishes as well as American. Very smart of the owners to implement both cuisines. I’ve gone a couple of times and I haven’t been disappointed. All the dishes have been flavourful and tasty. Service is helpful, friendly and attentive. To top it all… They offer good size meals at very reasonable prices.

My daughter and I went in to have lunch. She ordered a pot roast sandwich. I ordered a bowl of albondigas Soap a Coke and a Carnitas taco food is OK. The waiter was very good. His name was Victor we asked for for chips and some salsa which I’ve had many many times when I’m gone when I usually order two tacos and a hard taco, the waiter said that it was the owner’s rules. They couldn’t serve the chips unless there was two tacos ordered how much the chips really cost. This guy is so cheap. There was another time I was in there. I had something and I had a slice of there grilled bread that went with a meal very small like a sourdough slice really small so I asked for another one when I went to pay my bill they charge me $1.89 extra for that and didn’t mention it. They didn’t say that would be $1.89 as I mentioned before I have nothing against the waiter. His name is Victor very good man very good service but I’m never going this place again. He is so cheap. It is absolutely ridiculous.

I had the corned beef hash and eggs.
It was good, I especially liked the large chunks of white onion in the potatoes.
Service was friendly and dining area was clean.
Definitely your “diner” type restaurant.

A new favorite for my mom and me! They have heaping helpings of breakfast favorites such as ham and eggs and chocolate chip pancakes! I was a big fan of the waffles topped with chocolate chips and whipped cream, myself! I also tried their menudo – while a bit watered down for a more general American palate, the chicken was cooked well and complemented the broth. The onions and cilantro definitely helped with the overall taste.

Been to Sammy’s twice now, once for breakfast and another for lunch, and each time has been great! Martin, like the rest of the staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is outstanding. Debated whether or not to leave a review or keep this place our secret its just so good.

Great place for a delicious breakfast!I got the Florentine skillet with avocado, mushroom, and jalapeno added. Amazing! My veggie omelette would’ve been a lot better with avocado though. ✊ ✌
