A random find while out looking for breakfast. What a treasure! Tons of great atmosphere simmered in some local neighborhood history. The breakfast was amazing. Some of the best home fries to be had are right here. The French toast was also delicious. I would recommend this place for sure. Great spot and I will be back.

This place is awesome. Great staff that treats all customers with respect and kindness; they are all professional.
Atmosphere is great because the place has been able to maintain its old school feel to it.
Food is great especially its OG Italian.
Prices are very reasonable.
This place continues to be a hidden gem that should be packed all hours of the day.

Was a small grocery store when I was a kid. Now its one of the best sub shops in east boston. Food is great here you cannot get better. Steve the owner is a great guy who also gives back to the neighborhood..

Classic cheerless Sicilian pizza and a large meet all sub. Pizza is AMAZING and a rare find these days with most of the other small Italian bakeries closed. Really brought back the childhood memories.
Meatballs in the sub were tender and sauced nicely with some provolone cheese.
For the high quality of the food, you can’t beat the price.
Can’t wait to go back.

I hope this Boston landmark rides into the next century. I was waiting to pick up my mother at the airport and decided to get a breakfast sandwich. I am on that vegetarian food train nowadays and it was my first time having an eggplant parmesan sandwich. Praise the vegetable gods! So good, like better, healthier and cheaper than a Steak sub. For less than $9, I got this small eggplant sandwich, day old pizza (solid) and chocolate pie cookie while enjoying the views at Constitution Beach. This is a stellar small business establishment flavored in with a bit of Masshole on the phone and ringing you up. Two thumbs up!

We weren’t able to stay as we had a flight to catch but this place was worth the trip. If you’re in Boston, or near Boston, or in Massachusetts at all, drive to Sammy Carlos. This sandwich will be in my dreams. I fly through Boston every year and I will go out of my way for their everything Italian sandwich. Spicy, salty, crunchy in just the right places. The hot pepper, tomato, pickle, oil, medly in the middle? Amaze. I will try to recreate it and fail. Thank you Sammy Carlos for making our sandwich dreams a reality. You really do it up right. From Alaska, we give a hearty thank you. As hearty as that sandwich.

I almost forgot about this place! Always use to get an omlette sub for breakfast – you can pick 3 veggies! So good! I tried the Sicilian pan pizza today for the first time – excellent! They have a lot of specialty subs that are really good. Today I was craving a basic chicken salad sub. They make their chicken salad homemade. The sub was enormous and so tasty. Would reccomend this place 10/10. The picture shows half of my sub because I didn’t take a picture in time. I added the pepper but I’m sure they would if you asked.

BREAKFAST ! !
Sammy Carlo’s was the first spot I tried after moving to the neighborhood for breakfast. Since then, I went back for their lunch subs and retro candy and soda selection.
This morning I ordered SAUSAGE, EGG &CHEESE w/side of BACON… it was unexpectedly top notch, YUM!
