I highly recommend this place!! Nick came out and invited me in when I was unsure of the establishment and about to leave. He made me feel welcomed to come in and then sat and talked with me for a bit. The food is delicious and the service was phenomenal. I will definitely go back. Everyone there got along and we all friendly talked crap to each other which I loved. Will definitely be coming back!!

I give Sammie J’s bar and Grill five star rating all the way around just walking in the door. Everyone greets you with the smile. Awesome bartenders and the owner as well. The burgers are delicious. Sammie J’s is the heart and soul of the neighborhood. I’ve been coming here since 2008, and it’s been phenomenal every time. It’s one of the few dive bars around with a full kitchen—and the food is seriously good. Pro tip: don’t miss Wednesday Steak Nights, cooked by Sammie herself. Delicious, affordable, and always hits the spot.
The bartenders—Annie, Molly, Chase, and of course Sammie J—are top-notch. Friendly, fast, and they treat you like family. The vibe leans conservative, so just know that going in, but it’s a welcoming place for all. It’s truly a “where everybody knows your name” kind of spot.
They’ve got karaoke on certain nights with fun, talented locals, plus a solid jukebox when it’s off. There’s also a back patio, pool tables, game machines, great drink specials, and a full menu with a ton of variety. Bonus: they do events and catering too.
If you’re looking for good people, good drinks, great food, and a real local vibe—Sammie J’s is it. A true Houston gem.

Was craving a burger I saw this place on Google map , went ahead and tried it out and man o man the bacon burger was delicious with seasoned Tots !! Definitely a place to try if your passing by.
