New York style in Jefferson Wisconsin. Quaint little pizzeria in downtown Jefferson offering original New York style pizza just the way you would expect, large slices that are foldable to eat in true New York style. Plenty of indoor seating, offering booths and tables or acquaint little outdoor patio for those summer nights. We tried the giant calzone where you can build it with your own toppings. In addition, we ordered a split pizza to satisfy the family needs sausage, pepperoni and fresh garlic and 1/2 with traditional sausage, mushroom onion on the other, for the kids a New York style pepperoni pizza. The garlic knots were devoured before we had the opportunity to take a photo if you love garlic, the garlic knots and fresh garlic on the pizza are highly recommended. Sami Jo’s uses a generous amount of fresh garlic when you order it for your toppings or on the garlic knots. This is a great place to pop in for lunch for either a whole pizza or there is always two or three varieties of pizza by the slice to eat in or takeout. Great place for a full New York style pizza to dine in or take out any night of the week. They also offer fresh salads a selection of soft drinks and beer as well. Close to local shopping or a stroll along the riverfront.

Still the same feelings about SamiJo’s. Best New York style pizza around, still coming every two weeks, and really don’t see that changing any time soon!! Instead of the 16 inch, my granddaughter ordered an 18 inch…she wants leftovers for her midnight stroll to the kitchen!

First time in SamiJo’s about a month ago on a Tuesday at supper time. They had a few take out orders and walking customers while I was there. You walk in and order at the front counter so grab a laminated menu or a trifold 8 1/2 x 11” menu.
They do serve pizza by the slice all day but at this time of night there won’t be many types to choose from. There are pizza specials, and they also have wings, a couple of sandwiches, and salads. Get your own bottle of refreshment out of the cooler or have a 6oz refillable glass from the soda fountain.
You then seat yourself, grab your own plate, napkin, silverware, and pizza seasonings. For house made dough and hand made pizzas it did take a while, but the electric pizza ovens aren’t 900°.
My root beer helped me cool off on a hot day until the pizza came. My 14” meat loves was a couple of bucks more than I would have expected it it was packed with meat. Being a Wisconsinite I would have loved more cheese but it was an accent to the toppings, not the main event. The meat was augmented by red pepper flakes to kick up the heat to my liking.
While hot, the crust stood up to the toppings but when cooled we had some flop—to be expected from the oven cooking.
The decor has a retro vibe and when there were more than 10 people inside it was a bit loud for a single patron. But groups were having fun and enjoying the different type of restaurant for Jefferson.
I’ll be back to take an adventure with some of their specialty pizzas!!!

Tried this incredible place for the first time tonight after passing through the area. Absolutely delicious, even after a 25 minute drive home! The pizza was amazing, wings were tasty and crispy (asked for extra crispy), and the garlic knots were great. Not to mention, the service was excellent, welcoming, and extremely friendly. Will absolutely be going back to dine in.

First visit dining in was GREAT! The 5 in our group will do this again for sure. Had a Extra large New York style Pizza with Cheese Garlic bread. Was done to perfection. Crust, sauce, quality ingredients awesome. RELAXING atmosphere, with a friendly staff. Did not take long to get the food. Just a total POSITIVE Experience.

New York style pizza with a little bit of flop to the crust in a cozy atmosphere. Best crust I have had in Wisconsin hands down, great flavor and delicious. Sauce was a little bit on the plain tomato side however. 7.5 out of 10. Price point was great, will visit again for sure

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to do a review on this place. So my fiance, his mom, and I went to SamiJo’s Pizzeria I wanna say in Oct. So yeah I am late on this review. Anyways, we’ve been wanting to try this place out. And we were happy that we did! I believe it’s fairly new. It was new for us. The pictures I will be posting are from 3 different times we were there. It was so good we actually went back like 3 times in one week. And the owners and staff were so welcoming and greeted us when we walked in. The ordering is different from other places I’ve been to. You pick where you want to sit. Menus are on the tables. And when you’re ready you go to the register and order. Which is so different! It’s pretty cool they do that. And one is when my daughter came to visit us. She and her boyfriend moved back in August. They now live in St Paul, MN. So we took her there and she couldn’t get over how good the pizza was! She can eat a lot and not gain weight. My daughter and fiance ate that pizza like there was no tomorrow. She said it’s better than Gus Pizza which is saying something. I was like you just didn’t say that lol. She did. It’s cool how now they know us when we go and eat there. And the gentleman always asks how my daughter is doing. The reason their pizza is so good it’s because of the crust. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We overheard a girl saying that her boyfriend is from New York. And misses the pizzas there. They went there before and he said that the pizza is close to how they make them in New York. I highly recommend going there and try their pizzas and other foods on the menu. We say we’re going to try something else. But the pizza is so good. So like 3 years ago I had COVID when it was going around. I still don’t have my scent of restaurant food in general and anything else. So I can’t tell you if it smells good or not. My daughter and fiance said that it smells great. Be safe everyone! Pizza was New York / NJ style and was delicious. Only had pizza so I can’t say anything about the other food but would guess it’s great. Super nice and clean bathroom. Sorry ate the pizza so fast I forgot to take pics. Will update next time.
