Great service, cozy atmosphere, and nice Georgian music that really completes the experience. A must-visit if you love Georgian-European cuisine!
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service made everything even better. Special thanks to Olga, who took such great care of us and made our visit truly memorable.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Georgian and European dishes done right!
I went during Super Bowl Sunday, so it was empty inside, to my benefit. The decor set a nice vibe and the music set the atmosphere well. I was seated at the bar and served by a great guy (sorry! I completely forgot to ask for your name! He was blonde with short hair!).
He helped give some suggestions on the menu for someone unfamiliar with Georgian cuisine (super patient with my attempts at pronunciations lol) and also recommended a nice flight of wine! He filled the glasses to the BRIM! Im not a wine drinker but I thought I’d give it a go after he gave me the history lesson of Georgian wine being super influential. I wasn’t disappointed but I DID realize how much of a lightweight I am really quickly lol
I ordered the Adjarian khachapuri (bread boat with molten cheese, butter and egg yolk inside) and the Chkmeruli (creamy garlic chicken stew).
The bread boat was AMAZING! Super messy but 100% worth it. Could easily see myself coming back for just that for lunch. Was way bigger than I expected. The Schkmeruli was steaming hot and packed with chicken. Mine was served alongside rice and was recommended to just dump the rice in. Very hearty and satisfying. Wish I had that during the winter storm lol
Overall, I was very satisfied with the food, vibes, and service. Will def be back.
Our server, Alisa, was completely unfit for her job; I was very disappointed with the service, and so were my friends.
I’m giving two stars only because I managed to satisfy my hunger basically the same result I would’ve gotten from making myself a simple sandwich. You won’t find any enjoyment in the food here! And if you want to try real Georgian cuisine, you’re better off going to a restaurant that actually specializes in it.
Delicious food with rich flavors, beautifully presented dishes, and excellent cocktails. Cozy, stylish atmosphere and very friendly, attentive service. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
Highly recommend Sami Sumeli Georgian European Restaurant for authentic Georgian cuisine with a modern European touch. We’ll definitely be back!
The staff is polite and attentive. Special thanks to Alisa, Margo at the reception for being very courteous and attentive to my requests, and especially to Tamerlan for his friendliness, professionalism, and excellent service.
All the dishes we ordered were amazing — from khinkali to shashlik, everything was absolutely delicious.
Highly recommended. We will definitely come back!
