A neat looking café in the heart of Mt. Gilead. The building is an old hardware store that they converted into a restaurant and coffee house. It looks like an antique store with tables. We were given menus and instructed to go to the counter when ready. I had the Reuben hand pie and my wife the Cuban sandwich. My Reuben fell apart when I picked it up. It could have been a bit crisper, but otherwise tasted great. I ate it with a fork and knife. My wife really liked her Cuban as well. It was served with chips. Mine came with a small side salad. The staff here were very friendly and you certainly had that small town vibe when dining.

Fantastic setting. Love the environment they have created. The coffee and sweets are amazing. I got the blueberry muffin, the breakfast sandwich, and a honey lavender latte. All are delicious. Great service and lots of stuff to look at on wall, tables and around the entire shop.

I was a visitor to Mt. Gilead just looking for a local cup of coffee, but this place is so much more than just a coffee shop! It has indoor seating, a delicious little menu, and seasonal specials in addition to an extensive coffee selection. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. I’d love to go back and try more menu items and coffees!

A gem in MG! I am continually surprised that this place isn’t packed 24/7. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are all wonderful. I highly recommend the garden soufflé breakfast sandwich or the loaded avocado toast! Ever since the ownership changed, I have loved everything I’ve tried. Coffee and espresso drinks are always great. The owner, Mandy, and staff are all so kind. This is a great, small-town cafe where you can slow down, take a breath, meet friends, find cute gifts, get some work done, etc. ♥️

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share with everyone about a coffee shop I personally just discovered in Mt. Gilead Ohio right by the square called “Sames & Cook”. I am a big coffee fan and have tried coffee in almost all of central Ohio’s coffee shops from Mom and Pops to the big chains. This one in Mt. Gilead competes with them all and is actually my new favorite coffee shop! The decor is amazing, their drinks are exquisite and their staff is beyond friendly! Their prices are also amazing! In fact they seem to almost be too low for what you are getting! They offer high speed Internet, have a great atmosphere to read or do group events such as Bible Studies or Social Groups.
My favorite coffee shop before this one was Choffey’s in Delaware Ohio, this one in Mt. Gilead is honestly better, cheaper and the decor actually competes with the best of them! I honestly never thought I would be saying this about any other coffee shop.
I highly highly encourage you to pay them a visit, try their coffee out for yourself and experience one of the best coffee experiences you will ever have! On top of it all you will be supporting a family owned and operated business, we are so incredibly blessed to have this in our small county!

Cute coffee shop, perfect for a little town like Mount Gilead. New owners as of summer of 2024. They have improved upon every aspect of the town’s beloved coffee shop. New/revolving menu items. Amazing food including baked goods. New coffees and energy drinks all of the time. There is seemingly always at least one vegetarian, if not vegan, option. The food is now so good! They are starting to get in more items to browse (gifts, more like a little something for yourself) other than the antiques. Highly recommend that you give it a visit!

Really cool place, I love the decor/setup inside. They have a good amount of seating considering it’s not a huge place. I wish I lived closer because it would be an awesome spot to get a drink and food while working. Smoothies are made with frozen fruit, not smoothie mix which is a nice touch and gives a better flavor I think. We had the peach smoothie and then did a combo of blueberry with strawberry banana, both were delicious. The oatmeal cake is incredible, a must try. Staff was friendly and prices were very fair for what you get.

This ☕ coffee shop/cafe is a hidden gem! The atmosphere was warm cozy and welcoming and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food and coffee were good too! Definitely worth checking out if you are in the Mt. Gilead Ohio area.
